West High School Hires UT Assistant

In today's News Sentinel, the UT assistant of basketball operations was hired as the new coach at West High School.

Coach Barnes said in the article that the assistant had wanted to get back into coaching at the high school level.

He had previously coached at a high school in Florida.

Good luck to him and we might see some players from West on future rosters.

The last time West was good at b-ball was when Steven Pearl was there. I was a junior. Bruce Pearl came to several games and actually got kicked out one time because the ref wasn’t putting up with Bruce going ballistic about a bad call. The whole gym stood up and applauded Bruce as he walked out with a huge grin on his face. Pretty funny
