I don't really read twitter much but am I reading that right? Or is he saying personally he is hoping that.

Derek Dooley has told his family he thinks the job is his. Still no confirmation from anyone with the #Vols, though.

Didn't say. It was immediately followed by Dooley so I figured he meant Dooley. WesRucker is all over the place. Now he is saying Wittingham ship has sailed. I have no clue what is going on or if I'm reading this right.

# The only other name potentially out there I can gather is Sumlin. Whittingham's ship has sailed, IMO.

Wittingham's record is terrible.. 7-5 and 8-5 following Meyer that is pitiful for a school on the map... At least I take some comfort knowing no one wants to go to LAtech on purpose..

Our coach will be confirmed when he is in front of a black screen with orange T's all over it wear ORANGE and singing ROCKY TOP!!!! We can believe every source. Which in baseball they are 0 for 35 now on Head Coaches

Meyer coached two seasons with someone elses recruits. Wittingham was playing with Meyer's recruits or lack there of. It's not Wittingham's fault that he lost Alex Smith. He improved every year until ge got to 13-0.

The guy beat Alabama and you think he is terrible. Okay...

Also, Wittingham is 5-0 in bowl games. His win over Bama was more impressive than the butt kicking Kiffin took from Virginia Tech.

Rucker saying "no longer interested" was in response to "holding out for willingham", I think.

To the OP - Rucker is responding to someone asking if Whittingham is in the mix by saying that Whittingham is no longer interested.

I say we put ME on the phone with some of these coaches. This is obviously one of the best jobs in the country, I don't know HOW Hammy is making it so hard to sell.

I can't imagine what it's like being one of the players. Being caught up in the midst of all this crap would drive me nuts.

Flame me if you want, but I think things will fall apart with Dooley. Gut feeling.
