NBA Hall of Famer and Washington Wizards legend Wes Unseld dies
Wes Unseld was a 6’7” center. Probably will never see that again in the NBA.
Tough player and I’m glad he won a title.

We're seeing that currently with the Rockets starting RoCo at center and it's not uncommon to have small centers in crunch time lineups (like Draymond, Tucker, Harrell).

I think Ben Wallace was a couple of inches taller than Wes Unseld.
Unseld won Rookie if the Year AND MVP when he averaged over 18 rebounds a game. In addition, he had a good FG% playing against much taller centers.
Career averages were 10.8 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assist.
Not many players his size had those numbers.
I would say that both Unseld & Wallace were great defenders.
