Wes' only problem is he still thinks he is still a journalist when in actuality he works for a UT fan site and must cater to them.

Wes Rucker = Skip Bayless
he sucks he has a horrible radio voice, very poor mic skills ie: he eats the mic his voice is like nails on a chalkboard, he has inane and completely idiotic arguments ie: comparing saban at msu vs dools at ut, you know the one that his co host pimp slapped him about and the one basilio is making fun of, he quantifies never having played football after 6th grade because of his crooked back, etc etc the guy blows and if the guy running tsr was smart he would put wes bayless on at 7am to 9am treece 9 to 11 then after basilio he should have 4 hours of the Swainge show ainge and swain, now that would be entertaining radio. just my two cents. swain would prob never admit it but he comes across like he doesn't like his co-host very much.

Totally agree. I expect the next time we see him he will be surrounded by (one) camera while doing setups in his driveway begging for attention.

They hate him because he will not confirm the outlandish news that comes from the faceless posters of internet boards. See he puts his real name by the new he reports. If he is wrong then his "real" credibility goes down the drain. If OCI or Skeeter post bad info it does not change their paycheck one bit. I love the information Skeeter and OCI post but I know it is unconfirmed news and take it for what it is.

Challenge accepted!

For starters, he irritated me by eating up my twitter feed with all of his personal tweets. That's all well and good if you want to share with the twittersphere about your beard-grooming, but do it on an account that isn't followed specifically for sports "insider" information.

As for his radio show, he's just awful. As a former Knoxville radio personality, I feel comfortable sharing my opinion on his radio performance. Though I may have sucked, myself, I can at least tell when others do as well. The point of a sports radio talk show is the content. It's not about him. It could be called the Wes Rucker show on the Wes Rucker Radio Network, but people would still listen specifically to hear sports content. Personality can be injected in that content, but nobody cares about anything related to Wes Rucker the person when he's off the clock. He doesn't seem to get that. Either he's never received an aircheck from anyone who knows what they're talking about, or else he just didn't listen.

There's my reason.

I hate hearing about his eye patch, his beard, cubs all the stupid crap that I don't care about. The other day he posted a pic of a band aid on his eye.....wtf? Y do I care about crap like that. Also, as others have said, the way he talks down to people, the way he acts if you say he's wrong then your just a redneck. The way he says well if you don't like it get your own website or get your own radio show. That's just a dick move imo.

This. He seems like an intelligent person, but he doesn't know how to talk to people. I would like him a lot more if he wouldn't try to be like Jim Rome/Walt Deptula/Paul Finebaum. For those of you that don't know who Deptula is, wheck out 104.9 WCCP (Clemson) between 3-6 any afternoon during the week.

I agree but when you charge people to read your crap and it has nothing in it you haven't already heard that's BS. I understand he has to protect his reputation but I'm not paying for a site that regurgitates old news.

I used to think this but after following him pretty closely this season (twitter, 247 sub, and listening to the radio show for maybe 30 minutes a week) I can definitely see it.

1. He's a thin skinned know it all, and when intelligent people disagree with him, he gets whiney/angry. Have literally seen him resort to things like "I have more followers" when defeated in an argument on twitter. When dumb people disagree with him he's a jerk (usually he doesn't start it).

2. He acts like a tough guy. (again on twitter)

3. As Darth Vaul said, the site really isn't worth the $$ outside of recruiting season. I could see Callahan being pretty solid during recruiting, but not $14 a month solid. Example: they don't know any more about omari phillips over there than KNS does, but KNS is free.

4. As others have said, he makes things about him. They spend a lot of time talking about his beard on swain and rucker, maybe it's just when I tune in. He also seems to think he's special or important.

I also don't like that 247 doesn't have an unsubscribe button and I had to google how to cancel my subscription. It made it seem dishonest to me, but I know that's not his decision.

On the other hand, he's pretty reasonable in most of his other opinions and people disagree with him about stupid stuff and give him a lot of unwarranted hate, despite his faults. He is a pretty good reporter I mean he covers things that are important to people, he works hard, and he has decent opinions.

I just don't find his personality to be very likable. He's a lot like Jimmy Hyams, actually. I dislike Jimmy too.

To be fair, I don't like this site that much either, it's good for a few laughs but many of the people here just aren't very smart and it makes me not like the Vols when I read fans saying things like "We'd lose to CAK," or when people act like there isn't anything good about this team or any of its players.
