Wes Rucker

I can imagine those two leaving after two years, but I'm no expert and have never met them or seen them practice or work out. I'm thinking that the head coach has much more direct information and knowledge, so his opinion is of interest to me. Isn't it just as 'obvious' to a fan (like all of us) that Stone and maybe Bullard would leave as a Juniors?

But CDD apparently didn't say it and that's interesting to me as well. I wouldn't have known off the top of my head that they'd be excluded.

Many people may believe it'll happen, but I didn't know Dooley thought it with enough confidence to say it out loud.

i can't tell if all the posts in this are serious are not - bullard going pro as a junior when he hasnt won a starting job yet at two mediocre college programs..hmm..

i think stone, james, fulton all have talent but leaving as a junior is not common for an OL and I would be very surprised if more than 1 made the jump before their senior year

Haha, I just said 'maybe' about Bullard....I don't think it's likely that all go pro. Entirely possible that none of them do, for that matter, and that's what I was getting at.

I don't think it's trivial that Dooley would say that (if he did). If somebody doesn't like Rucker, fine. Just don't think the example given was very valid.

As for Bullard, I know the coaches are high on him and I think his dad played a lot of years in the league. I'm not convinced he's second-tier to the other guys - we just don't know yet.

Now if Rucker had tweeted that it's likely Lattimore will get a bunch of carries this year, I'd be on board with that being a ridiculous piece of info to 'report'.

Zach Fulton was "only" a 3 star recruit.....just saying

Bingo.

Look for size, quickness of the feet, and talent upside for the lines. Then you put them through a tough S & C and coach 'em up. Stargazers sort of lose perspective on that - they trust other people (self proclaimed experts) that don't have a dog in the hunt other than to sell them some opinions.

FWIW - I think Rucker is nuts...no way do any of our linemen bolt early for the NFL...seeing OL come out early is EXTREMELY rare...besides the ones that do, usually don't have stellar NFL careers.

I got in a twitter battle with him a few weeks ago, and I always like to pick at him on there. He truly gets his feelings hurt when you unfollow him, and a lot of people have been doing that lately.
I used to like his info, but now he's just turned into an awful media member. He doesn't "get it" when it comes to doing radio. It isn't about you, the host, it's about the sports news and the different opinions showcased on your platform.
He drives me nuts. My boss wants to write a macro that will send an individual tweet to every one of his followers telling them to drop him.

I unfollowed him a few days ago myself. He used to provide good info. Now he provides info late and wants to charge for it. I can understand the guy wanting to make a living but if you want to charge for something at least make it worthwhile. No way I would pay for a story 4 or 5 hours after it happens and everyone else and their brother has covered it.

I don't like slamming on folks but W. Rucker is so sophomoric with his tweets and borderline offensive often....Mostly when I see his name I just keep moving....mostly...
