If coach davis is releasing him on the grounds that he wants to be closer to his dad in cali, why would he even entertain the idea of letting him go to a school that is not on the west coast?

My point too. Also this is just something someone on a South Carolina thread said. That'd be like me saying I heard any rumor and then someone running with it.

I don't know if this staff would take him considering all the drama (hostessgate) and other baggage that might come along with him.

He's a solid player and UT wouldn't turn him down if he was given a free release to go wherever he wants. I surely hope this works out.

1/Butch stipulates no team his Heels will play

2/UT buys out of UNC series

3/Willis transfers to UT

Nutty I know, but dayum....

Not too far-fetched.

Rucker isn't saying much, but knows something.

I just can't see Willis' family moving out to Southern Cal and Willis deciding to come here.

Of course, Corey Miller and he talk a lot and Miller is a good recruiter.

Too soon to tell, but nice to have something to break up the monotony on the board.

So, is Brandon Willis' NCAA eligibility in question at all regarding his recruitment to UNC?

It does make you a bit sick that if he had stuck with his initial commitment, he would more than likely be a starting DT on the hill come Sept 4.

Brandon Willis UCLA bound.
"My dad is taking a job in southern California and as you know my mom died two years back so it wasn't going to be him on the West Coast and me on the East Coast," Willis told BruinBlitz.com Thursday morning. "There was nothing wrong with UNC. The family thing came up. Family is first with me. I'm part of this family before I'm part of a football team. We prayed about it and decided to move on."

The freshmen defensive tackle has already found his new destination, as first-reported by BruinBlitz.com.

No - don't project. I don't have to sound out my words to spell them.

I don't think it's just a someone. I believe the person who stated it is comparable to Rucker in regards to the USC program.

That's too bad we can't land him, but this is probably what is best for him.

Go beat up on Lane Kiffin and O for us BW!

Did he not have some pretty derogatory things to say about us in the past? I may be wrong but surely someone on here has some links or quotes from Willis. Can this be posted from anyone in the know?

I apologize in advance if this is not true.

I think he was a little butthurt over k-hole up and leaving like he did. Either way, who cares. Hes a kid. Hes an elite athlete and we need him. Not going to happen, but oh well.
