LaTech football coach Derek Dooley resigned five minutes ago. This is about done, folks.

Thank God we have a coach.
I have changed my mind on this guy. I have read almost all afternoon about this guy. Folks, i think we stole this guy.
Just give the guy a chance, we have all started new jobs and know how it feels to be new. Just lighten up and see what happens. I think we are going to be suprised.

I own an insurance agency. Once hired a sales producer. Guy could sell snow to an eskimo. Then got a call from channel 10 news on what I knew about the guy. Turned out he was a child molester, been raping his step-sister for 4 years. That's my view of Kiffin. On the surface looks like a great guy, underneath something completely different. If it is Dooley we need to give this guy a chance. he could end up being great.

It's more fun to piss, rant, and complain and keep wishing for some pie-in-the-sky coach that nobody can name. LOL

Say what you want about all the misinformation floating around out there, but Wes Rucker of the Times Free Press has been all over everything since this search started.

Follow him on Twitter (@wesrucker). I swear, he is the most trusted journalist in East Tennessee. He has been correct about everything, including denying the Cutcliffe deal as GVX was running it as breaking news.

If you ever need Vol news...this guy is the best.

Why? You can't predict the future and many seem to have very high opinion of the guy.

I don't know what he can do. He has some good things on his resume and seems to be very intelligent.

The one thing I do strongly suspect is that Hamilton has to be holding on by a shoestring after Kiffin blew up in his face. Lane Kiffin was a career changing decision for MH and if the replacement flops... MH won't be able to get a job as AD at La Tech or anywhere else.

With your career on the line... what would you do? You'd probably make the supposedly "safe" decision. That would have been Cut or maybe Kippy or maybe even Chaney. At least MH used his last shot to swing for the fence. This guy will either be a shocking success or the end of at least one career... There are no possibilities in between.

Alas. I don't like where this is headed, but he has my support. I can understand if people don't give it. This is not a good hire.

Who knows what this guy can do...obviously his name alone isn't enough for some...but as the old saying goes "Don't judge a book by it's cover"...I certainly hope that will apply here.

He was the recruiting coordinator for Saban at LSU...that counts for something in my mind.

If Hamilton does the things for Dooley, that he did for Lame, maybe, just maybe he will be sucessful. It is Hamilton's responsibility to hire a coach, and it's my responsibility to support the team. regardless of who our coach is, he'll not be as sucessful unless we back him. He might be a no-name coach, but he's our no-name coach!!! GO VOLS

Guys I love the Vols and want us to be great. What I am gonna say here will sound goofy but I am going to say it anyway. I have been following La Tech for about 4 years now because i started playing them on the playstation in NCAA football. Dooley has taken La Tech who recruited 1 and 2 star players to recruiting 3 and 4 star. Now we want 4 and 5 star with some really good 3's who should be 4 or 5. This Dooley will be good just give him a chance. You will be suprised.

also we Wr coach one year and RB coach another , in the NFL at Miami he was TE coach. At lsu he was also recruiting coord.

Coach Douche left us out in the rain on Prom night and we had to have a date ,,,, He looks solid ,, we will find out soon if he can be great.

Next season will be a beach, with or without Head Coach Douche.
