Freak or Mods, I would consider killing this thread. At the moment, VN is losing credibility in many posters eyes leaving this junk on this board. I would appreciate your explanation on why you would leave this tread up? thanks in advance.

1st, people need to lighten up... Sometimes rolling a house and putting clear wrap on the urinal is funny. I'm actually glad we're doing this. In California, people don't laugh... They just say "that's funny", which makes this even better 2nd, there is no way THAT bunch would report something like this to NCAA. I don't think they want their office phone records made public... 3rd, I'm getting tired of all the "so-called" UT fans scolding people for being angry, reactive, and relentless. It makes me proud that we have fans willing to paint rocks, peacefully burn a few mattresses, and fax fake LOI's. It lets the coaches, recruits, and other fans know that we care... But most of all, it shows me that UT fans won't tolerate unethical/dishonest behavior. So to everybody that wants to hate on the pranks, go poop on someone else's party.

Someone mentioned we (UT fans) would not tolerate unethical/dishonest behavior. So, because Kiffin and his buddies are unethical/dishonest that means we should be too, right? Because if you send fake LOIs to USC on NSD, that is being dishonest and unethical, also. This sounds much like an "eye for an eye". I am hoping that our fans are of higher moral character than to stoop to the level of "sophomoric pranks", that serve no better purpose than to show how ridiculously stupid some people can be. Unfortunately, it would show that it is UT's fans who are stupid, which would be plastered on ESPN, and on sports talk radio wherever UT is talked about. I would like for us to be the University fans that are known to be classy and supportive. We can be supportive without being revengeful. Be patient folks, for Kiffin and those of his ilk, what goes around comes around. UT is in a new era now, look ahead and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing our players on the field in the fall. GBO!!:)

Maybe we should have a bunch of UT fans take a trip out to LA and buy up all of the Red Bull in town so that Orgeron can't stay awake on NSD.

Welcome to VN; nice second post. Could not agree with you more. Although the idea is funny it should not be carried out.
There are many of us that would take the blunt of the joke for a few bonehead's actions. I for one do not want to be associated with those who pull this off. We are better, our program is better and Tennessee as a whole is better than that and should not stoop to the likes of Kiffen.


To the poster above and not Bill... I agree that this board has taken a huge hit in its credability but I think it dates to Kiffin leaving and when the board took on a large amount of new posters. Many do not know the rules (and yes, I have learned the hard way). Free speech is a right but within the limitations this forum allows. Claiming "Free Speech" shows your ignorance.

How can you compare faxing LOI's under names like "Sasquatch and Rod Wilks" to intentionally causing harm to an entire school? I'm waiting for you to tell us how ashamed you are that Quentin Tarantino and Johnny Knoxville are from K-town, because of their questionable viewer content... Perhaps you would have perferred the students form a single file line at the library to write/send Kiffin a notarized letter expressing their discontent? It's absurd to parallel the malice of Kiffin&Co with the playful antics of college kids. The problem isn't the fans. Rather, its the people that can't take a joke. There might be more willing listeners at Vandy for the "show class and put on a serious hat" lecture. But at UT, I don't expect to see folks start repenting of their "crank yanking" and "saltshaker-top loosening" sins anytime soon. Nor do I think they should.

Are you serious??? What reason (other than personal interest) would warrant it being taken down? What cardinal law of the VN constitution does this thread break? Are threads always in risk of being deleted once the conversation shifts to topics that the message board elite don't like?

It would be funnier if everyone just sent them completely black LOIs with a white font. That way their primer runs out about every five faxes. Just saying. You are still a loser if you do this. However, I will laugh my ass off about it.

Again, very funny idea but very childish to actually go through with it! We are better than that!

I too was angry about how the whole thing went down. I too wish Kiffin would burn in hell! Karma is a ?i?c? so he will get his! We will be better off in the long run!

For the record, I respect the opinion of the guys saying not to do it. It was a modern miracle that the worst thing that happened in the riots was a few mattresses burning. And if they were from dorms, then the kids will just have to pay for them. No harm, no foul. But I could see where just one person sends in a fake LOI under Markeith's name or something, and at the very least causes an investigation. So this one, probably not a good idea. Sorry guys for my rant, for I need to ponder my battles before fighting them. But it's encouraging that even attorneys in Knoxville have a sense of humor. (Lane Kiffin Sewege Center)

It is okay, I was not yelling at you but merely bringing reason to the table. Look, I am a PIKE and believe me... I was young, dumb and full of cum when I was in my early 20s. I, to this day, have to take a step back and think if my actions are truly the right ones before committing because those decisions now effect others beside myself.

I promise I was not trying to sound like a goodie goodie, :)

This is juvenile to put it nicely. But, then again, most of our adult fans have acted like juveniles with the whole Kiffin-exiting deal. I'm not surprised.
