If Dooley does not have a DC tomorrow, he is very much behind. Just my opinion......

What about Jmoore's comments that they did. Have those shown to be false too?

I'm rooting for one heck of a propaganda campaign to make this Shannon deal huge.

Maybe I've missed what changed other than people saying they don't know anything (outside the ones that have said RS) and DD's still interviewing.

I thought some of the commits did say DD told them RS was going to be the new DC. Is that all made up now to?

Maybe the coach is still coaching this year (Kirby Smart) or an NFL guy. Just guessing. Maybe they are still trying to work it out with Shannon.

Dooley doesn't think he can have a DC in place until classes start... He referenced the Stokes situation. Make sense.

Anyone think this surprise could be Chavis? Think about it, if Chavis wanted to come back he wouldn't announce he is leaving LSU before the National championship. THAT might be the reason that Dooley is keeping this whole thing a secret. Probably isn't true, but i was just thinking about it..

Chavis came out and said he was not going back to Tennessee. They burned him pretty bad. Sad situation actually. I miss the Chief.

I think they want to announce all the new coaches at once, and that it will happen by wednesday or thursday at the latest. As to whether DD has his DC locked up, its anyone's guess although I would think he would have him locked down by now and is filling out the staff with the SA interviews. They know that once they tell the players and recruits it will be out there and thats not likely to happen till the day of the announcement, after the Memo of Understanding is already inked. I still think RS is the guy.

Why in the world would Kirby Smart leave Alabama for the same job at Tennessee?

I tweeted Rucker and said the following: If he is right, like many said here, an agreement does not happen in days. So we will fail to have a DC by next weekend's visits which will destroy this year's class. That will be a MAJOR FAILURE on Dooley and Hart and I say you fire them both when in 2012 the team has a pathetic record. Make or break it. That's it.

You know Hart is a Alabama guy. He might go after Kirby Smart or Sal.

Rucker just tweeted me back that it should be done within the next day or two...unless something goes wrong.

I don't care if Dooley doesn't have a DC picked out by Monday... What I would really like to see is that the DC is in place by this weekend. We have several official visits this weekend, and it sure would help get the momentum going by NSD.
