This is just my theory, but because Rucker graduated from UT, his default stance is to remain so neutral that he seems negative about the program in order to not appear to be a homer.

You're right...nobody can predict the future, but it's pretty silly to outright dismiss the predictions and opinions of people who cover the program day in and day out.

Um dude, he's pretty much giving people back what he receives...I do the same, if I see people being idiots, I let them know...guess what? You're being one. Tennessee fans are a bunch of cry babies it seems...yeah we've sucked for a few years, he's been pretty dead on. He has said this team has always been a 5-7 team for the past few years, guess what? He was right. He's unbiased, doesn't show favoritism, but appreciates the players and coaches.

I kind of get sick of reading everyone bash someone who doesn't have sunshine pumping. Get enough of that **** here on this site..."we gun whip dey azz"....saw that all the time with Okie...

He acts like he's a hot shot reporter, but his writing is amateurish. Read virtually any article written by him and you'll find cliches, typos, poor phrasing, etc.

As it has been shown time and time again, predictions are useless. Opinions are just that, opinions. It doesn't matter who has what connections to what program. They are not playing the game. Predictions and opinions are fine for kicks and giggles, but in the end they mean next to nothing.

However you're entitled to your opinion that I am wrong. So if you think I am silly, so be it.

no one wants to hear a local guy choose the other team... and often the need to "seem" unbiased leads to choosing the opposing team when he shouldn't.

Most national media has us winning this game.. but a Knoxville personality doesn't?

Play to your audience if you do not want to lose them, which is what he has done...

You call other people idiots and then have no idea what you're talking about. You say you do the same as Rucker does by insulting people back. You don't see the difference though, do you. Rhetorical question, I know you don't. You're some nobody on a message board while this is his career. If you can't comprehend that, you're the idiot. People who insult their customers tend to get fired and the business loses customers. In Rucker's case, he's lost a bunch of customers(fans). Look how many people here think he's a dickhead and want nothing to do with the guy anymore. You call that good business? If so, you'd fail miserably as a business owner.

But yeah, being some random person who posts on a message board for free is totally equivalent to someone who does it for a living, I see your point. Ima go ask Freak for mah paycheck. Assuming he doesn't fire me for having called you an idiot for believing posting here is the same as writing for a living. Who am I kidding, if Freak paid us to post here and fired us for insulting people, I probably would have been fired by my 10th post. Good thing this isn't my career or anything, unlike Wes Rucker who has lost a ton of traffic by being a nutsack.
