I was a little upset that he never answered my question...

"Wes, do you and Darius talk sports at family reunions? Also, does he get mad when you call him Hootie?"

I would disagree. During the coaching search he was one of the few guys that didnt try to "be first" to break a story. He was patient and broke it when he had a solid source other than "someone on the inside".

I also just saw that he twote (past tense of tweet) that Tennessee is prepared to offer seven figures for the right DC.

WFW!

He also seems to be the only UT beat writer who remotely understands social media.

If you don't like Wes, then who in the world could you possibly trust or like?? KNS is garbage, Sportsanimal is worse, Chris Low is the worst.

Wes is the ONLY one who didn't put any false reports out there during the coaching search.

Wes does a good job. I agree, he doesn't just jump at the opportunity to be first. He seems to be clear about "what level of source" he has.

He also uses twitter well.

And he doesn't seem to have the ego of most covering the Vols right now. He doesn't seem to think he is "bigger" than the fans or the Vols.
