Were the Vols cursed in 1999 for disturbing a Cherokee burial mound?

We suffered our curse we had Kiffen and Dooley. No possible worse curse that those 2.

Ah, but there is. If not for Hamilton, Hart, and almost Currie (fortunately that was aborted), we'd never have had coaches like Kiffin, Dooley, and Jones.

I need an old priest and a young priest.......

At the start of the new year, we sacrificed a Krispy Kreme truck to the great Football God in the sky.

Now, we ready to rock and roll

I'd say it's more like tons of fans sold their souls and the debt is being paid off... and boy it's a large one.

for the offense in '98. The '99 team was THE most talented UT team in the modern era--there were at least six players on that team who had good NFL careers, as I recall. The team was loaded--and we lost four games. Fulmer and Sanders were outstanding Vols but not exactly the sharpest minds in football. They never quite realized that your play-calling can't be predictable.
Saban found that out last night.
