Oh, ok. So, you'd talk that way to a black recruit to make fun of this video, right?
I've got a friend who is a Kansas fan that acts just like this. We were in Vegas when KU lost to Bucknell in the NCAA tourney and I thought we were all going to die.
Damn, I might have pulled some stuff like that when I was younger... but I think the loss to Georgia in 2001 took it all out of me.
If we lose, I just go out with my buddies and find something else to do.
I've never understood the "snitching" thing. First of all, if Tennessee were cheating and Bama blew the whistle I wouldn't be mad at Bama, I'd be embarrassed. You will find very few Bama fans who don't hat Fulmer for "snitching". What's worse? Cheating, or narcing on cheaters?
Cheating on the field is unacceptable, but I think a lot of fans are OK with cheating in recruitment. I'm not talking about minor violations, I'm talking about boosters paying athletes and stuff. Is Spurrier considered a snitch for this issue with the spot-taping? I don't think he is. So it's OK to claim a team is cheating on the field, but not off. Weird.
I think the point is that Fulmer turned Alabama in to keep the NCAA off his back, and it worked. He was doing essentially the same thing plus more (ref. Tee Martin and the fired prof.). He was the NCAAs b****. He would do anything he could to find an advantage, ask Majors.
This still doesn't justify our boosters actions. The difference is Alabama paid for their sins. The tape thing is just silly.
So the NCAA likes to put teams on probation? Seems they would prefer a successful Alabama program and the money it brings in, especially with the traditon and all.
Why else would the NCAA use Tennessee (and let them slide) in order to bust Alabama?
That seems about as dumb as the "ESPN hates our team" stuff.
Who knows the motivations. I think your observation is a bit simplistic. Explain it away any way that makes you feel better. Just an observation of events.

I hardly think Alabama has paid for their sins, that would require an SMU type penalty
This is truly the only hope you have that Alabama won't continue to dominate your beloved Vols. The frustration must be horrific. You and Fulmer are cut from the same cloth. Personally, I want to see Tennessee line up every third Saturday in October and bring the best the've got. It's a great tradition, may the best team win.
