We're Snitches

Oh, ok. So, you'd talk that way to a black recruit to make fun of this video, right?

We do much more impressive impressions. CLK does a great Schwarzenegger. Jim Chaney does Bill Gates. Big Monty does a fantastic De Niro. We tried doing this guy in the past, but no recruits knew who he was and they didn't get it.

And for the record, I think it's much much much more racist to assume making fun of someone for sounding like a jackass implies that they are making fun of black people.

We're not the ones essentially claiming every person of african descent has the language skills of of this fellow.

I've got a friend who is a Kansas fan that acts just like this. We were in Vegas when KU lost to Bucknell in the NCAA tourney and I thought we were all going to die.

Damn, I might have pulled some stuff like that when I was younger... but I think the loss to Georgia in 2001 took it all out of me.

If we lose, I just go out with my buddies and find something else to do.

I get pretty worked up. The worst is Tennessee hoops (although I like football much more, the nature of basketball is just more frustrating, refs control a lot more). The funny thing about me is if I am under the influence I am a lot more chill.

My last tantrum was in 2004 when the Colts lost to NE in the playoffs. NE had like 65% possession, and I punched my bedroom door to open it and I put a hole in it. I didn't mean to hit it that hard, kind of a fluke and I learned my lesson.

They occasionally play this thing as a soundclip on 98.1 in Memphis (Drake and Zeke in the morning)...

I always laugh.

I think my favorite line is: "It's not that kinda orange you can just sit with."

hahaha

I've never understood the "snitching" thing. First of all, if Tennessee were cheating and Bama blew the whistle I wouldn't be mad at Bama, I'd be embarrassed. You will find very few Bama fans who don't hat Fulmer for "snitching". What's worse? Cheating, or narcing on cheaters?

Cheating on the field is unacceptable, but I think a lot of fans are OK with cheating in recruitment. I'm not talking about minor violations, I'm talking about boosters paying athletes and stuff. Is Spurrier considered a snitch for this issue with the spot-taping? I don't think he is. So it's OK to claim a team is cheating on the field, but not off. Weird.

I think the point is that Fulmer turned Alabama in to keep the NCAA off his back, and it worked. He was doing essentially the same thing plus more (ref. Tee Martin and the fired prof.). He was the NCAAs b****. He would do anything he could to find an advantage, ask Majors.

This still doesn't justify our boosters actions. The difference is Alabama paid for their sins. The tape thing is just silly.

So the NCAA likes to put teams on probation? Seems they would prefer a successful Alabama program and the money it brings in, especially with the traditon and all.

Why else would the NCAA use Tennessee (and let them slide) in order to bust Alabama?

That seems about as dumb as the "ESPN hates our team" stuff.

Who knows the motivations. I think your observation is a bit simplistic. Explain it away any way that makes you feel better. Just an observation of events.

To be honest it would benefit the NCAA to have a succesful Alabama more than Tennessee. If they knew both teams were doing the same thing and they truly wanted to use one coach and program to bust another one I think they would prefer to hammer Tennessee.

The NCAA doesn't want to put certain teams on probation such as Notre Dame and Alabama is one of those teams. They know who their money makers are.

If anything it further proves that they had nothing on Tennessee.

Oh and I find it a bit simplistic to think the NCAA was in cahoots with Tennessee to bring down Alabama. I think it had more to do with the actual cheating that went on.

I hardly think Alabama has paid for their sins, that would require an SMU type penalty

This is truly the only hope you have that Alabama won't continue to dominate your beloved Vols. The frustration must be horrific. You and Fulmer are cut from the same cloth. Personally, I want to see Tennessee line up every third Saturday in October and bring the best they've got. It's a great tradition, may the best team win.

it is a great tradition and all UT fans are asking for is a level playing field. Seems bama doesn't agree with that though

Whatever gets you through the day. I wouldn't agree this program is that noble and I don't expect to change any homers opinions. See you on Saturday.
