Good to know. I'd be impressed if we are still near the top after UCLA. I think we have a chance to be.

From near the bottom in total offense to the top---I know--it was WKU, but still---the passes have to be on the money, have to be caught, blocks made, runs completed====regardless of the competition. Vols will put up some numbers this season.

You're absolutly right! There was alot of Top 25 teams that played not so good teams over the weekend and didnt play anywhere as good as we did, offence or defence! No matter who you play, you still have to execute and we did. Thats something we didnt do at all last year.

When was the last time we were even in the top ten? Two years ago? 01?

Florida also probably had their 4th string waterboys in there at the end also, but ehh it doesn't matter. Go vols.

I want to see the same score against UCLA.

you are probably right, but I'm taking the fact that we put up more points and gave up less yards than UF as a minor victory. Meaningless I know, but none the less, I will enjoy it for now. I'm not saying we are going to beat them but I have a feeling we will be competetive.

I saw pretty much the entire Florida game and even Florida's starting 2 deep defense didn't look very good. I mean they dominated the game but they didn't dominate it the way the should've. They missed quite a few tackles and CSU players put some good moves on on their secondary. This is really the first team I have ever seen Meyer's team not play with the attitude they usually play with.

It is said that we only beat WKU, #133 in Sagarin preseason rankings ...

Well, are you familiar with the football teams of Stoney Brook, Monmouth-NJ or Delaware State? Me neither.

Charleston Southern, Florida's opponent was ranked below those 3 teams at #201 ... and they racked up 323 yds on the gators? Hmmmm.

UF's starting defense played one quarter and used one basic defensive set. By the end of the third quarter, they completely emptied the bench.

Yeah, well, so did the Vols. Played at least 3 true freshmen in the defensive backfield alone, against a better team than Charleston Southern, and only gave up 83 yds not 323. We're heading your way.
