With the expectation of the 3 4 stars committing on the 10th … we will stand at over 272 points on 247 sports with 21 commits. So on May the 11th we should already have a higher rated class points wise than any that we ended up with in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. All by May the 11th. That also would have placed us in the top 10 in recruiting at the end of most of those years.

What I am alluding to is that we will already have a top 10 class ….. now let's press on and get a few more big fish and end up with a top 5 class. If you can sustain top 5 classes … you are competing year in and year out with the top teams in the country and isn't that really exactly what you strive to do. Couldn't be more excited for and proud of this staff and this fan base.

Also we are riding a huge big orange tsunami of momentum and big fish are literally jumping in the boat before we can drop a line in. Something really special is going on …. let's enjoy it.

In the first year of a total rebuild, I could see our staff basically taking what they could get, but at this point , it wouldn't make sense at all. I don't see us dropping many of these "3 stars" to make room. They're players that the coaches believe they can turn into gamers. If we're playing that game of buying in bulk and trimming the fat at the end, we aren't going in the right direction. I don't see it.

The next three committing are all 4 stars … and I agree that the staff has cherry picked some of the 3 stars because this staff is great at evaluations and finding under the radar talent. At least a few of the 3 stars have huge offer lists that include schools like Alabama, Georgia and Clemson. Those are SEC caliber players. If you will recall the last couple of years we start with the cherry picked three stars and the last ones added are typically the higher rated guys including a few surprises. I look for this year to be no different except it all started earlier and this class will be much deeper and there will be quite a few wanting in that we don't have room for. A good problem to have.

At the risk of getting political, there is no reason we can't have a 12 game schedule at the appointed time. Everything should be wide open right now. Everyone knows there is no reason not to reopen everything right now. The only reason it hasn't happened is because politicians don't want people to realize how foolish they have been.

Supposed to announce Mothers Day - Sunday ….. so likely good wholesome character student athletes as well since they decided to do something special for their moms.
I will just say stay tuned since these things are never done until they are done.

Im actually really looking forward to see us playing Oklahoma. wouldn't be horrible if we lost and has potential to be a season propelling win.
