OSU won't be in the rose bowl or the orange bowl now. What's more interesting is this loss could make the Heisman race more interesting. I still think Williams wins it. But it will be a lot closer now. As long as Hendon gets his invite and we aren't stuck in the cotton bowl all is well.

There is 0 chance Williams wins.

He’ll most likely win, but he’s not a better QB than Hooker.

Not saying you’re wrong but what are you basing that on? Better runner, more passing yards, more TD’s, one more pick and essentially the same QBR. Now if the argument is better wins, I think Hendon definitely has a case. I just feel like he’s been out of sight out of mind since the ACL injury.

The intangibles for one. Hooker makes everybody else better. Eye test. Played a heck of a lot harder schedule and he takes care of the ball better. A two year (almost) body of work and how many turnovers?

Mostly, I’ll admit, it sucks to see a kid get to the 11th game of the season and get hurt. But if the committee is gonna say that’s the deciding factor…well, that’s rich. USC just got blown out, at home, by a team that already beat them AND the now Heisman favorite…he’s hurt.

What goes around comes around.

GBO!!!

Well let's dig deeper into stats....
Out of every team in the top 10 Hooker played the BEST schedule.
Defeated UF who took down a team that just skull drug the mighty UsC trojans and he had costly turnovers and didnt score. Yards are fancy and all but the goal is beating good teams. Heisman moment Hooker vs Bama :15 seconds with the game on the line. We win.
Williams stats are great against some bad competition. None of that is to say Hooker should win the heisman. But he should get an invite. Oh Hooker didnt really play much into 2nd half of quite a few games. That is because he did his job and was highly efficient in most areas. Williams reminds me of Colt Brennan. Its easy to put up huge stats when you play bad teams. Utah just kicked the sh1t out of him and USC.

I'm seeing that USCw is spinning the story that Caleb Williams "popped a hamstring" and his coach wanted to pull him but he insisted on playing...... "gutsiest performance I've ever seen" etc etc

Nice spin.

I want to know what "popped" means because I'm not believing he could do the scramble he did (even as slow as he was) nor endure the sacks he took with an actual pulled hammy.

Very nice PR spin though.

Actually resume to resume USC has an argument there. The beginning of UTs schedule was higher rates the end not so much. USC ended their season winning 3 straight games vs top 20 teams and lost it's only 2 games to a top 15 team. We lost to an u ranked team. Just saying there's an argument. I think Hooker is the better QB for sure but I mean he's also 5 years older...

I think Hooker is the best QB in the nation even without the fact he's a Vol. But one has to be realistic. Him vs Stroud (I think Stroud is a better pro prospect at this point) Hooker wins out in stats because Stroud threw a lot more picks and less yard and isn't mobile. Hooker only beats Williams in 3 statistical categories. Less ints but it's like 3 vs 5 so meh. Hooker has rush for more yards but Williams has more tads passing and rushing. And Hooker has a slightly higher completion percentage.

Hookers big selling point is his insane completion percentage and int percentage. And he's done it 2 years in a row so it's not a fluke. I honestly don't think he will win the Heisman but he will come up second or third in votes easily I think. It just sets up the whole Nico for Heisman 2024 campaign better. Heck it's highly unlikely but a few good portal moves and a crazy Rocky montage over the summer to learn a changeup and Milton might pull it off next year lol.

Don’t like USC or Williams but

If your in the power 5, you make it to you championship game, your in the playoff running until the last game, and you gots nearly 50 TD’s, nearly 4500 yards and 4 int’s…….you got a good shot.

Caleb’s stats vs hookers are ****.
Did you know USCs backup has only thrown 6 passes all year? Usc runs up the score when they play the cupcakes and lets their starters stay in and pad the stats.

I get what you mean but to say his stats are bad compared to Hookers is the highest form of hyperbole. the guy has thrown for 37 tds and 4 ints and rushed for 10 more. Yes he played more snaps than Hooker because Hooker got pulled early in some games he coulda padded stats but not 900 yards and 15 total tds worth. Williams' numbers are very impressive. The 2 things that hurt hooker most are the USC game and the fact he got hurt that game and is out now. Now I don't think either of those things were in Hookers control.. But WIlliams has ended the season on a tear and even though they lost badly last night he still put up good numbers.

I don't want Hooker to lose but the logical favorite at this point is Williams. Even if you skip him there is stroud...Head to head a healthy Hendon wins the Heisman no doubt in my mind. Then again maybe some voters look at that and don't hold his injury against him.

I didn’t mean they was bad compared to hookers. I meant they are ******** because he has stayed in every game this year. I mean imagine hooker staying in for the whole game vs ut Martin, Akron, the lsu blow out, if he got to play in the vandy game, the Kentucky game, and I’m sure I’m leaving one off. The numbers would be similar or even hookers would be better. Stats are good, but sometime they lie or maybe exaggerate.

This is ludicrous. Open your eyes and grow up. Dude put up monster numbers and it wasn't all against scrubs. Being a homer is okay, but you look foolish.

Why do you think that?

Just my opinion but if he doesn’t it will be someone we weren’t expecting…….someone from the championship games maybe.

Cause Williams has the numbers

47td’s about 4500 yards, 4ints (total) 66%…….with mostly garbage around him.

I still think it should be Hooker. I also believe because of everything that has happened Hooker would have had a good chance if he has not gotten hurt (not that that should matter).

Above because:
Maye had been terrible
Stroud hasn’t looked good 2 weeks in a row
USC lost
Corum has been out

His back up qb has 6 passes open your eyes. If hooker stayed in all our games his numbers would be close to Williams or maybe better. I’m not being a homer I’m saying facts. Idc who wins the damn thing, but to act like willams stats are just so much betttee then hookers is ignorant.

Tennessee had more rushing TD’s than anyone in the country.

Tennessee definitely could have padded Hookers stats…….but they didn’t really at all.

Hooker would have to be leaps and bounds ahead of the next best guy to win it. He isn’t getting it. The coverage will be insanely biased in favor of other candidates. When Stroud was still the favorite they’d have a promo showing him throw a few TDs, then they’d show Hooker clapping or something for about two seconds.

agree. We don't have to tear down what Williams has done just b/c we love Hooker and think he is better. We can tear down what Stroud has done, though.
