I waited to make this as my poor UK heart can barely stand to watch a UT vs UK game anymore. After licking my wounds and re-watching I'm content yet sat. But regardless the UK faithful (yes we exist!) will soldier on, make a bowl game, and hopefully look back realizing this season could have been a lot worse. Anyway, onto the game...I'll try to make a few points and then shut up.

Before the game, I said I would be happy had we been within 20. But somehow losing by 13 felt like 100. We ran all over UT, got some turnovers (albeit meaningless ones), and couldn't convert when it mattered.

I could write all day about the injuries we suffered during the game, the lack of converting in the redzone, how Dobbs must reeeeeally hate UK and blah blah blah...but I'll just say good game. UK hopefully gained a little respect by walking into Neyland and running for 400+ on a team that has, even with injuries, a ton of talent on defense. Barnett will leave one of the best ever, and plenty of UT's 2nd/3rd stringers would be starters at other schools. So I'm proud we showed something.

Once again I must shamefully look forward to next season and hope we improve. I think UT is on it's way to Atlanta and a likely matchup vs Bama again proving LSU doesn't crap the bed. I'll be cheering on the Vols to get some revenge. Take care Vol fans and as always it was a pleasure. UT is a dangerous team, made it through some rough times early this year, and closing strong. I wanted to there in Neyland this season, but sadly a lot of things happened this year that prevented me from leaving the family. Maybe in two years I'll be there, fingers crossed.

LC out.

You're a good dude Cat. After a rough start, Kentucky and Stoops has really turned it around has things going in the right direction. Congrats on being bowl eligible after next week. Hope you guys find a way vs Louisville as well. Good luck.

Talked to a Cat friend this morning...I mentioned all the hate on Volnation for Dobbs...he laughed and said if Kentucky had had Dobbs this would have been win #4 in a row for the Cats...

Kentucky's inability to turn redzone trips into TDs is what ultimately swayed the game. That team wasn't giving up and they showed a lot of heart. Stoops coached too conservatively when it counted, IMO. Reminded me of another coach I know...

To your credit, I remember a post by you saying something along the lines that UK had a shot as long as Dobbs didn't go nuts on the Cats again. He did.

You are gracious in defeat. Something many of us Vol fans should strive for even in victory.

I always laugh a little when one fan tells another "good game" as if both were in the field actually playing.

Good stuff, LittleCat!

Kentucky has looked good this season, played well yesterday and has a lot to carry with the team to build upon into next Sat. The Wildcats have a lot to be proud of this football season and your class act here (which reflects as a credit to the program's fanbase) ranks as another one of them -- in what I'm sure is more than just my own personal opinion. Keep your head up LC, the future looks bright in the bluegrass state.

LittleCat, I like you better than 100% of the Florida regulars here, better than 100% of the Bamers, better than 100% of the magically disappearing Dawgs, and better than about 40% of the Vols here. Haha!

Seriously, you are a class act. Love Kentucky like a little brother, one of the few SEC teams I can honestly say I like. Respect most of them, but like very few. Kentucky is one of the few.

p.s. Don't worry, you'll whup our azz in b-ball and feel much better.

Came down to what KY got out of all those trips into the red zone....field goals.

Happened to us some years back against Florida in Neyland under Fulmer. We were dominate just couldn't convert in the red zone when we needed to.

Easy to like an opponent when they haven't won in your building since Reagan's first term

Yeah, that's not it. Because LSU is one of the other few I like, and they stole our cheerios in '01. And A&M is the other, and they stole our 3-1 gauntlet chance this very year.

Nah, I just like them. It is probably something so subtle and complex in my past that it is completely beyond present knowing.

Being a ky fan and having to face ut every year has got to be tough. Be we can definitely relate. It's kinda like being a ut fan and having to face Florida every year. There have been years that uk is the better team and we still save our best for them. And the same is true of us vs Florida. But there's always hope. We finally broke through this year. I'd like to say I hope yall start winning the series also (because you're always a classy poster) but that would be to our detriment so I'll have to pass on that. Plus...y'all have basketball to look forward. We live and die with football
