Someone in Quinn's position should know better than that. Some people may not consider it a big deal, but most people will be offended when a stranger props his feet up on your coffee table after you've invited him into your house.

It's called etiquette.

Regardless of whether the shoe thing is true or not, our staffs respect and overall politeness to families of recruits gives us a nice advantage.

Larry David just had this same issue at his psychiatrist's office. Even he decided he "wasn't comfortable" doing it.

I agree. Things like that are subtle signs. These families should consider everything when making these decisions.

That's pretty rude. Sounds like Florida's coach has been hanging out at too many college apartments. Curt's father isn't his college buddy and he isn't living in a college apartment. Maybe if they were drinking buddies on game day, this might be acceptable. Sounds like Mr. Maggitt didn't even know the guy and the guy was acting like they're bros. Sorry bro... that s*** don't fly in the Maggitt home and many other homes across the country. People work their whole lives to be able to afford nice things and most try to care of it. In comes some random dude plopping his fat ass on your couch and putting his stinky feet on your table. Do not pass go, do not collect Curt Maggitt

UTs arrest record isn't much better. But I understand about the feet thing. I hate when people put their feet on the table

Did you read the article? Mr. Maggitt specifically had concern that UF players are pulled over for 'nonsense' very often, and he didn't want Curt involved in things like that. As opposed to a guy getting arrested for stealing laptops, etc.

My impression is that Mr. Maggitt has tried to raise his son right and expects him to not be in the latter category regardless of where he goes to school and what anyone else there is doing and he doesn't want him in the former category because it's, well, nonsense.

Sounds like a knock on the UF campus police and it might well have validity. Don't remember a world of scooter arrests involving football players at UT, for instance.

If I had to scrutinize a parade of strangers to pick the ones to whom I was going to entrust my son for the most important four years of his life, I'd probably be looking pretty critically at subtle stuff like that too. Decent people don't go into another man's house and put their feet on the furniture.

Agreed. With all that scrutiny, the margin for error in these recruiting battles can be pretty slim. I feel good about Dooley & Co. handling themselves appropriately in somebody's house.

Orgeron on the other hand... :crazy:
