Well, it might complicate the scout? If the admin forced him to retain the staff, I wonder if that would signal surrender? Maybe they're letting him replace everyone with the idea that he might be the replacement after all? Might be the only way to keep the roster from falling apart plus they get a body of work to eval before making decisions. Interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Just hope we take care of business in 2 weeks. This can't be the Heupel stinker lurking in the weeds can it? Surely not.

Their defense won’t be why they keep it close if they do, taylen green is the only way they can keep it close. We have not been good stopping the run, and I’m scared of a dual threat qb. That being said, we should be fine

Sam Pittman is a great O-line coach and a good man.Well liked by his players and staff.Just a bad situation he went into.

I felt from day 1 that he was not a good fit there. I don't blame him for taking the opportunity, but it felt like he was always about 1 loss away from being gone. It has to be way better for his health in the long run to be done with this.

This whole move was just Petrino marking his territory, like the dog that he is.

I bet what has happened, and I'm just reading tea leaves, is there was a division on the coaching staff between guys who supported Petrino and guys who were loyal to Pittman. It really sounds like there was a lot of ugliness behind the scenes. I don't think it surprises anyone Petrino would be capable of that.

Makes sense.. and the guys who got the pink slips were Pittman supporters.. it happens in corporate America too and like someone said, Pittman may have had Petrino hoisted on him, who plotted to get him fired the whole time.. (do I sound bitter? It happened to me )
