Well Mr. Currie

I have no words for this anymore. I’m numb with apathy now. I watched with zero emotion tonight as we got embarrassed. We should really apply to join Conference USA. There is NOTHING SEC about this program.
That's right. If THIS garbage is what Currie and company are comfortable with then apply to a different conference and just up and quit the SEC. Then we won't have to play Bama anymore. Obviously this administration AND the boosters...who are allowing this to happen...don't care about getting humiliated...or humiliating the fans who have supported this program.

So they are gonna fix up Neyland. For whom? They need fans to fill the stands right? Anyway..yeah. Just quit the SEC if you don't wanna compete. And forget the revenue from being on CBS for Florida, Bama and Georgia games. Just quit the SEC if you aren't interested in competing at this level. Keep Butch. Sure. Who cares? Maybe we can win some games in the Ohio Valley conference. Maybe.

Don’t ruin their party. They have confirmed insiders in their thread who have verified Gruden has been hired. I stopped counting after we hired him the 6th time apparently last Wednesday...

Pretty sure his last post was he was no longer in the loop. Nothing for months And all of a sudden boom into.

Your Move

Seriously what's it gonna take? We are getting brutalized by a team full of 2 and 3 stars.

Do you really think Butch will turn it around? Why continue to drag this out.

Fire Butch PLEASE!!!!

900K per year plus some incentives. and if he is here through the end of June 2022, we will also pay him a $1.5 million retention bonus on top of salary

Well were paying Jones $4 mil per for playing in the school band, so this loser is making basically a million per, my guess is his personal experience with sports is that he was president of the chess club in high school. That and splicing game film in the AV lab.

As the director, he knows when, and when not, to operate. We're in good hands.

Assuming Currie is competent and has a method to his madness makes as much objective sense as buying into the Grumors.
Both are solely based on blind VFL Hope.

And his buyout is $1.2 million per year left on the contract.
His buyout is bigger than his salary.
Only that stupid family could come up with something so moronic.

I know this not what people want to hear, but i have not heard Grudens named mentioned once. The one constant name i keep hearing is Mullen. MSU will be in a bowl game so you know how that will go.

Laughing at all the newbies not knowing the significance of the “Skeeter Sighting”

if they are planning $340M of renovations to the stadium then $15 M to buy out CJB is nothing least they even need a stadium, they can play all away games and get paid a $million by the other team to come to their stadium and take an ass whipping

The stadium renovations need to be halted.

No one will be there to watch it. This is dumb.

that's why I have zero confidence in this administration making a good hire, They should have hired Blackburn instead that stupid Chancellor Davenport from Cincinnati , she cares nothing about sports, then turn around and hire Currie two worthless hires who care nothing about Tennessee

Davenport partnered with UC’s Athletics Director to use mobile devices to improve student-athletes’ study habits and their access to study materials while traveling and also collaborated with the AD to use the newly renovated football stadium for innovative classroom spaces.

This bozo sets the bar and he accepts mediocrity. The whole “not emotional” card. I don’t want some idiotic sociopath as AD of a program. Bring in someone that has a passion to build! I was thinking for awhile that he had a plan. Now, I’m thinking he is a puppet. The current financial situation and the “clean” program is his main focus, not winning.

OK fellas..and I'm saying "fellas" because I don't see any of our lady VFL's posts on here. And..........because I'm saying "fellas," pardon me, ladies, for using your superior sex as my metaphor on this post. Since I'm retired, I've laid out each of my days so to make progress on my projects, put time in to write my books and articles daily, to do all the research my curiosities can handle, and to go as many places and correspond with my professional constituents as much as my time allows. Despite my honest attempts to keep everything on track, my lovely, brilliant, kind and loving wife just can't help but require my explaining a lot of wheres, whats, whens, hows and, of course, a litany of whys, I'm doing what I'm doing and why I'm not doing X, Y, or Z, instead. Therefore, I wind up not completing all of my allotted tasks, due simply to the fact that I'm wasting my time providing explanations for the things I've already thought out. Why am I saying this? Since it became obvious that the wheels have completely fallen off our beloved football program; that Butch isn't at all cutting it as HC, etc., etc., etc., Volnation and friends have been crying and moaning that nothing's being done by Currie, et al. Admittedly, I "(finally) jumped into the fray with y'all...displayed my disgust at UT's administration for not caring, or being incompetent, or whatever. Lately, though, I figured that, just like my precious Laura means the very best (as do most all of you, too); that Currie's already got this bird in his hand, as in maybe an active coach who can't divulge his upcoming exit from his still very competitive program...or some other similar situation in which it wouldn't be prudent to divulge the near future's paradigm shift for that school's current post-season goals. Admittedly, I can't stand thinking about this year's team, and I feel deeply saddened for the players who're still giving all they're able to lay on the field, but, hey... maybe we're about to be very pleasantly surprised. From now 'til we find out that final verdict...I'll just go back to pumpin' sunshine. GBO!
