I’ve bled orange sunce birth, many in my family graduated from UT, my UT diploma hangs on a wall if my office, I played rugby for UT, my son wants nothing in life more than to play ball for UT, I’ve been to more games than 95% of people in the state, and I can no longer defend any negativity thrown our (UT, grads, athletics, admin, players) way. We’ve lost the pride which was once running over... I see no hope, no pride, no give a s¥*+ from our admin even considering that they have one if the best following in the country. Better step it up UT or the slide is gonna turn into something much worse, abandonment.

Currie isn’t gonna fire Butch. I wouldn’t be shocked to find out Monday he has been lobbying for an extension for Butch so all the fire butch talk would stop and give butch something to tell recruits that are gonna bail anyway.

I honestly think Currie believes Butch is Brian Kelly 2.0 and Lyle will be able to follow up this year like ND is doing this year. The only problem is Lyle only maintained mediocrity with what Kelly handed him the previous 2 stops and Lyle won’t be able to get any worthwhile Coordinators. Lyle also certainly won’t turn over control of the O or the D to any coordinators. He’ll Lyle believes in his system and his plans so much he refuses to make in game adjustments no matter how bad his game plan is failing. He is a living example of the definition of stupidity. He maintains doing the same thing time and time again no matter how bad it isn’t working and thinks if he keeps doing it without changing anything that eventually it will work.

Currie has no clue how to run a successful football program. He had Snyder at KSU and the only person like that he has here is the guy he pushed to get fired in the first place. Since there is no old veteran coach to come maintain mediocrity he is lost and just wants to keep the coach that has taken us from mediocre to just down right horrible. He is so blind to reality that he can’t see that the only reason Lyle got 2 9 win seasons is because he had a qb that went outside the “system” to make plays and a roster loaded with NFL talent. That QB and talent are gone and won’t be getting better now that recruits see Lyle is gonna do more harm than good to their NFL dreams but somehow Currie thinks things will just magically get better if he does nothing.
:yuck:

I know this not what people want to hear, but i have not heard Grudens named mentioned once. The one constant name i keep hearing is Mullen. MSU will be in a bowl game so you know how that will go.

I have no words for this anymore. I’m numb with apathy now. I watched with zero emotion tonight as we got embarrassed. We should really apply to join Conference USA. There is NOTHING SEC about this program.

The fact you feel embarrassed means you still care. I feel your apathy Hoss. Hopefully the curtain on the Butch Jones S**t Show drops soon.

At this point, Tennessee could replace Butch Jones with Chris Berman and I would be ok with it. If nothing else, he could just yell " back, back, back, back, GONE"

It’s not some elaborate scheme to throw people off. It’s very likely the truth

Don’t ruin their party. They have confirmed insiders in their thread who have verified Gruden has been hired. I stopped counting after we hired him the 6th time apparently last Wednesday...

I refuse to spend another dime on TN until Butch is gone. I normally go berserk buying TN clothes and merch every XMAS but if Butch is still around come December I won't spend one red penny on UT

Ha I even told family not to buy me orange gifts in last couple yrs

Tried to leave a msg on the athletic dept phone line. Just like trying to contact a mbr of Congress, "taking no msg at this time", click, dead line. These people in position of authority all appear tone death public, fans. The feel untouchable and u guess they be. I am not a quitter when things get bad, however these 10 -12 years have been beyond bad. And just like politicians that fail in their duties Butch will walk away a wealthy man.

Currie is in over his head and has no idea what to do.
He’s exactly the type of guy we hire. And if he replaces Butch then it will be a **** hire.

Bean counters for ADs - the beans go to their tiny little heads giving them brain farts.

Currie looks like he is too chickens**t to make a simple decision.

Just like Hamilton, he wants to dress up the stadium bit not care what's going on down on the field.

Mullen got MSU to a number 1 ranking. I never thought I'd see that in my lifetime.

Well, remember the sympathy vote or whatever it was had GA at #1 over AL last week, too. They have their share of clown votes every week.

Since this team has become an embarrassment to the University, the honorable thing for Butch to do would be to agree to an immediate buyout consisting of the university buying his house for the price he paid for it plus reasonable appreciation for the years he has owned it, plus a one time $500K buyout. It probably will not happen, but he has now led the team to one of the worst performances ever, and there is the possibility of losing 8 games for the first time in history. It bothers me a great deal that these coaches get huge buyouts for poor performance. This is not the American way.

You would think that Butch is starting to hurt his career. Losing like this is not good on the resume.
