I think Tennessee could beat Florida and there are good reasons to see it happening...but we've seen time after time where Tennessee should/does have the better team and still loses. It feels like Tennessee is just cursed against Florida and we have to see them win in order to start believing otherwise. The logical arguments can kind of go out the window in this game. To be fair, I don't think we know who has the better roster yet. That will show over the next few weeks.

I like our chances a little better after watching the game Saturday. Some of the mistakes I guess could be written off as first game jitters but Franks just makes terrible decisions and I do like our secondary so I am hopeful for a few interceptions. My biggest fear is, until I see something to the contrary, our offensive line may not be much better than Miami's which means that Florida d-line may live in the backfield with us just like they did with Miami. JG is used to this and has spent his entire career with poor protection so I think he will respond better than the Miami QB's did. I think I would throw the ball deep quite a bit because that Florida secondary loves to commit pass interference. Until I see what our o-line looks like this year I still think it is too close to call but I can see a path to a win in that game now, which I did not before this game.

so much can happen between now and then as we have seen already. if i had to pin one reason though why i could see a loss as a possibility it would be a break down of the offensive line. jg not getting enough time in pocket and poor downfield blocking on the run game. franks and the uf team will have plenty of time to correct mistakes since saturday. i would like to think this years Tennessee squad would have beaten them saturday but without seeing them actually play its hard to speculate. this coming saturday we will either see the light at the end of the tunnel or we will be calling for CJP's head

I have seen a version of this conversation take place on here for many years because Florida always plays their first game like a sloppy mess and then we get really confident and then a totally different Florida team shows up when we play them.

So, I'm hopeful but don't expect the team you witnessed playing Miami to be the same team we face.

Yeah I'm not understanding either?? Is this game going to be limited to the 2019 recruiting class only 😂😂
This is the ranking of all players remaining from all recruiting classes left on each roster for the 2019 season, not just the 2019 recruiting class. It is the definitive look at how much recruited talent there is on a team. Now, how those players develop once they get to their respective schools is another question.

Remind me again why UT should lose to Florida? Anybody but Diaz and being his first game with a million mistakes, they would have beat Florida Saturday night.

UT is more talented than UF and has the better coach.

2019 College Football Team Talent Composite
We do not have a lot more talent than UF if any. They have more experienced players and more experienced head coach. That being said, They did not look good Saturday, They look like someone we have a chance of beating maybe. undisciplined and out of control. They should have beaten the canes by 3 or 4 touchdowns.

Georgia has 14 5* players. My goodness, if Kirby can’t get that team into the playoffs then something’s seriously wrong in Athens

I could not agree more. Honestly, if Smart does not start winning the big games it is going to be hard not to think he is Richt 2.0. Georgia loves to squander talent.
