It is obvious as much as we want to believe that our football program is a top elite job. It isn't even close, I guess it is like saying your kid is the best qb ever and he will go pro. After he sets the all rime record for pee wee football touchdown passes with 2. We are not even close to being a desired program. This is pitiful. people turning us down for Millions

Wake up man. It's because Haslam has his dirty hands in the football program. No coach wants to come here and deal with that.

It was more attractive before Currie effed it up by attempting to hire Schiano.

You just now figuring that out? But just lkke everything, things can change quickly.

Just a few weeks ago after the jones firing. I read on here and listened to sports talk shows where TN fans were talking about how coaches would line up to have the Tn job.

We're not even a Top 50 coaching job now, and our AD has been exposed as a rookie in over his head and a complete idiot. He should be made to reimburse the university for his trip to Stillwater.

You’re so blind to reality, it’s crazy.

No, I know what I heard and have read. For example TN offers so much things like facilities, 100k seat stadium, most profitable program, a great talent level of 4 & 5 stars and a great fan base. Its apparent that some of our fans think we are a lot better than what we actually are.

Brohm, our 3rd option (well 3rd confirmed option) would currently be our coach if Currie wasn't a moron and had spoken with Davenport before making an offer.

Made a great run at Gundy. He wouldn't even meet with UF, but he met with us and reportedly seriously considered taking our offer.

You're over exaggerating.

I honestly do not even want to read this crap. We can sit around and pout about how bad we are or we can do something about it and make Tennessee great again. If we fall into this Leach hire then that's a huge win for VolNation over the likes or Schiano and Doeren.

I'm sure none of has to do with not wanting to work with/under/for Currie and Haslam

I love Tennessee and I'd even be hesitant to take a coaching job with a terrible AD and a mega booster that pulls all the strings (most often, not in the interest of the program)

Thank you for providing logic. It's a lot more than people just saying "no." Doeren and Schiano were ran off, yeah Doeren "rejected" our offer, but hell he was already hated before even being hired at Tennessee. Brohm would be the coach if it was not for our administration's incompetence. Gundy was a hard sell to begin with, but we swung and he almost said yes even though he is an OK State alum. Now we may get lucky and snag Leach.

I'm no saying we are still a top job in the country, but people still want to coach at Tennessee. We will be ok, we just have to keep voicing our opinions and making the fanbase heard. For far too long the common fan has been ignored by our administration, not anymore. We can make Tennessee great again together.

People can say whatever the hell they want but as horrible as we have been for a decade and still have the fan support that we have, Tennessee is special. We don't have bandwagon fans and we're use to being the punchline of jokes and still rep our orange and pack Neyland to the top.

Oh look, another “we suck, let’s settle” thread... GTFO

Nope didn't say we suck. Just stating the facts that some of our fan base think we are much higher up the totem pole than we actually are. I think with what has transpired in the last few days this is a little bit of proof to my original post. So you get out
