Lots of places to stay in and around Tampa. Avoid Orlando at all costs.

Why? Other then the high costs of lodging, 4 dollar beers, $70 Disney tickets, and thousands of people during the holidays. Not to mention Wisconson and Arkansas fans taking over.

I live on the east side in Oviedo, no tourists. West side, Disney-Universal-Sea World, will have rooms but very pricey. So, TampaVol is right. Unless you you bring family and can't avoid the parks becuase you have kids, drive around.

There are plenty of houses and condos for rent in the area. A Google search of vacation rentals will show dozens of places and eBay almost always has vacation rentals for this area and you can sometimes find a good deal. The only thing is that it is Snowbird season and they tend to fill up the rental properties. Good luck.

We should rent a whole section of condos for the Volnation. We would have to assign and seperate posters though, kind of like 4-H Camp..

I'll echo the above: AVOID ORLANDO!!! Stay at or near the beach, enjoy the weather, and eat well.

Great "locally-known" spot to eat and watch the sunset: The Hurricane in South St. Pete/Pass-a-Grille.
