We will begin a national coaching search immediately. We have a great University, world-class student-athletes, a tremendous fans base and first-class facilities. As a result, we will attract some of the nation's best candidates. We will introduce a new coach to you over the next several weeks.

The next several weeks is kind of vague, but to me also implies a shorter time frame than I was originally expecting.

That is the next several weeks would be mid-December to me. "The next couple of months" would put us in the Jan-Feb time frame... but weeks?

That's a good thing. Like I've been saying, the faster we get another coach the better we are off with our recruits staying

The regular season for college is at the end of this month. Is the next Tennessee HC from the college ranks and not from the No Fun League?

unless it's the currently available lane kiffin, there aren't too many good coaches available yet. If a few weeks means after the first week of December, then it's free game.

Interesting in that CPF offered to help the next coach if asked. Sounded like he expected the decision (on his replacement) to be made sooner rather than later.

According to Clay Travis, a deal has been struck in principle with Jon Gruden.

I am not saying that this was the right or wrong decision but something about Hamilton rubbed me the wrong way today. He almost seemed "proud" of himself. Like he was glowing in the moment of dethroneing a legend. And the way he thanked the assistants too makes you believe the whole cubbard is being cleaned(I expected this but at the same time I figured the new coach would decide that). Fulmer thanked his 2 previous ADs but not Hamilton during his speech.
