I just learned an awesome movie fact. Donnie Darko (one of my top 5 favorite movies) was struggling to get funding and Chris Nolan screened it. This was as Nolan was making Memento, so far from a made man, and he convinced his production company to also fund DD.
IDK if he meant to do this. Was it a nod, did he steal it, or did he just forget he heard it somewhere else?...
"The fact that they burn the money is ironic. They just want to see what happens when they tear the world apart." - Donnie Darko
The Joker burns the mob's money, and Alfred has almost exactly the same thought/quote.
