The floor is a punt. Interlocking, black recycled rubber v.s a poured vinyl-rubber surface. The rubber carries a smell, the latter does not. Both work equally well and can take tons of pressure before failure.

The machines are the same Hammer equipment you will see in professional football strength rooms...and many collegiate and HS. Since they are ergonomic advantages of independent converging and diverging arcs of motion lol Hammer's way of saying that the 'arms and legs' move independently of each other. Great for post-rehab.

Don't see any chains. :dunno:

Braniac I thought adding bands while lifting was the new thing in order to build your stabilizers and work on explosivness.. is this true? I saw a lot of resistance bands.

Also, I know these are used for stretching etc. Any thoughts on what they might be used for? Or the body bag in the middle of each opening? Thanks.

Looks like we aren't afraid to spend money. I'm guessing that of our problems, inadequate weight room equipment probably ranked about #163rd on the list.

The resistance bands may be for stretching and rehab/post-rehab exercises. That is all I have ever used them for.

Translation of the above :p

You are attempting to match the lifter/squatter's peak application of power to an increasing mass. More power to more mass. Did that make sense to you? :loco:

The term 'stabilizers' usually (this time?) means the muscles that work to stabilize the body and its extremities during multi-plane movement. Simply, there are primary movers and stabilizer muscles in every lift/squat.

The primary movers are the muscles doing the majority of the work, moving the load. The stabilizer muscles aren't directly involved with moving the load, they work to keep certain parts of the body (especially at the joint axis) stable and steady so the primary movers can do their jobs efficiently.

Which means that primaries can be stabilizers and versa-vicey. Movement is dynamic, yes?

Crazy but did anyone ever get to visit our weight room in the 90's....very similar or lesser than most high school weight rooms and miraculously our Vols where just fine. This is great for recruiting, great to reassure fans we are "making changes necessary to win" but give me a break this does nothing if the players don't put in the work.

Lol just so you know I did graduate with a degree so I am not a complete moron. I do understand that I do not know half of what you know when it comes to Strength and Conditioning. So, I defer to you on those. I am not above being humble. Thanks for the information. Cleared some things up and yes that's all I've used bands for as well is stretching... Just wasn't sure about anything else.

There’s a big problem with that new equipment though. I can’t see any injection needles for the PEDs.

Can't wait to see pics of Coach Fiz passed out and quivering after squatting 400 to get the boys juiced up lol
