Knowledgeable S/Cs know the answer to this question.

d) brains

I like it a lot.

Just seems to me that since Pruitt got here its all business of winning football games and not building mailboxes with " brick by brick " on a farm bureau commercial.

Well, for all we know, Butch and any one of the S&C coaches he had here might have wanted to do the same renovations, but the bean counters would have turned them down and we would have heard very little about it.

Even though I criticize Fulmer, I think it is safe to say he probably played a big part in pushing this project through.

No doubt. The mind-think is clear. We gotta wash those men right outta our hair...

It means nothing if players don't go there and really work. It's been reported in the past that players "faked" showing up and when they did spent more time walking around talking and listening to music than working out. It showed on the field.

Anyone have any updated weight room pictures? *I am looking at you Freak* I'm itching to see how the renovations are coming.....

The best in the country... The best in ---in---

Where have we heard this before???

It's a little different when Butch says it compared to when JP says it. We already saw Butch's version of the best coaching staff in the country vs the one CJP has assembled. Butch was stuck in a mid major mindset because it's all he knew. Much different this go around.

Okay I'll jump in here. Didn't the university spend a shat ton of $$$ on the weight room when DD was here? "it was first class, top of the shelf" blah, blah, blah.
So the Fitz doesn't like mirrors? Aright.

Just seems like an unnecessary spend. Hopefully it parlays into a 6-6 season.

It's much more than just mirrors. Not to mention DD was 6-8 yrs ago, so I'm sure it is outdated by now. I would tend to lean towards the guy who does this for a living and is the 2nd highest paid trainer in College Football. Plus it's not coming out of any of our pockets or that money is an issue. If the man says we need it, then we probably do. You can look at our players now compared to how they were before JP haired Coach Fitz. Huge difference has been made in just 5 months. The benefit will go well beyond this year's W/L results.

Anyone who watched TN last year saw how soft we were and very few fit players. Being soft and out of shape won't be an issue anymore. Getting to 6-6 this yr won't be a problem, that is the absolute worst case scenario.

Based on how soft, undersized and weak they looked under Butch I'm willing to bet not many weight room renovations were asked for. Fulmer probably did play a huge part in getting it rushed along and done immediately. I also doubt the previous AD would have gone to bat to make sure it got taken care of. I believe Dave Hart and Currie had their own agenda's and it didn't involve having TN's best interest in mind.

Since HIPAA, and in respect for players personal data, S/C will only relinquish program info in terms of numbers not names. It is difficult to make much sense of the efficacy of any program without that information.

Wts, when I was active among collegiate S/Cs, private conversations especially at S/C conventions, regularly occurred in order to make an attempt to match apples and apples.

Think of it this way. Your orthopaedic has hundreds of patients and releases generalized information about them publicly, usually as part of a statistical study. He will talk to other orthos, compare experiences, etc. Same with S/C which is yet anther reason that S/C is as much an educated crap-shoot as it is a science.

I have no idea if those regimes were or were not the reason, part or in whole, for our lousy injury-occurrence stats. Nor does anyone else, it is pure conjecture.

This is the logical fallacy. Two conditions that might appear to be linked which can never be.

Like CJP said, he believed the injury problems were in part to us not being very big and not to the strength that we were capable of. When your soft and not very strong, then other SEC teams who are will push around like it's nothing. Then that's where the injuries come into play. For example, say you have a UFC fighter who fights in the 205 LB weight class and you throw in another UFC fighter from the 135 LB weight class. There's a huge difference in strength and the 135 LB guy is gonna get hurt. We were getting pushed around by Ga Tech, UMASS, UK and Vandy last yr and there's no excuse for that to ever happen.

My boy that went on a visit to UT met Fitz and he told them of the renovations coming. The weight room is going to be extended and new machines as well. Which Im sure you guys know. My buddy said Fitz knows what the hell he is talking about and his 2 Asst. that he got from USCjr. are awesome and the players love them. UT is in good hands.

Shoutout to Ty Chandler for being an hour and a half late for his final exam

See. That's just poor decision making. If you're that late, you can't admit you are just lazy by showing up late. You gotta go to the professor two days later and say you had bloody explosive diarrhea and offer to show pictures.

Even though I have irrational, unfounded, adolescent dislike, even hatred of Fulmer, I think it is safe to say he probably played a big part in pushing this project through.
