I was asked by a few posters to give a weekly update on whats been going on in the recruiting forum. They wanted me to do this so they didnt have to dig through all of the crap and arguments to find info. This is a rundown of what happened from 8/5 - 8/11. I might not be able to do an update the next 2 weeks though.

D-Line Recruiting
- Tennessee offers '14 FL DT Edgar Cerenord. The DT "Oh noez" continue
- Hendrix set up his first OV to UF and says UT and UF are tied. Says he talks with Bates and Helm on a regular basis. Takes trip to USCw and says they are now up there with UT and UF.
- Connor Humphreys sets commit date for August 17th and will release top 5 a week before. Fortenberry says, "I think right now Tennessee is looking elsewhere on the defensive line. I agree, it's risky, but they must feel good about a few guys." Released top 5 and UT did not make the cut
- Calvin Heurtelou (JUCO DT) names favorites of Missouri Tigers, Kansas State Wildcats, Tennessee Volunteers, Arizona State Sun Devils, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Will announce before he enrolls in January (EE)
- Poona Ford commits to UL
- Several posted showing DT concerns, and others responding with "Its August"
- Lorenzo Carter releases top 7. UT does not make the cut
- Derek Barnett sets visit to Vanderbilt on Saturday. Rumor he decided not to take visit and will be at UT scrimmage, later reported that he did make it to Vandy. Was given the "Wild dog bone". Mom did not make the trip. Says he might wait until after the season to make a decision.
- Lambert starts to receive crystal ball predictions to UT. Decision on Tuesday between UF, UT and AU
- We randomly find JUCO DT Lance McDowell has been offered and is down to Bama and UT. People suddenly realize why we passed on some other recruits when Fortenberry says we are looking to take 2 JUCO DTs
- We find out JUCO DT Jihad Ward holds an offer and played WR in HS. UT leads. Name jokes take over thread.
- Mosley takes trip to Bama. TideWarrior says Bama doesnt want Mosley
O-Line Recruiting
- Fortenberry on Blair - "I think Tennessee is still very much alive for Blair. FSU and Auburn have made this a battle, though with his official visits there. But, the good news for Tennessee is he didn't commit and will see Tennessee this fall for an official visit." Blair says Auburn leads and wont be able to OV to UT until after the season
- Looks like we turned up the heat on JUCO OT Avery Gennesy
DB Recruiting
- Chris Lammons decided to push back his commitment, then sets decision for Monday the 12th. Around 4:45 on ESPNU. (UT, UF, SCAR, Miami) Rumor he removed UF, and rumors he did not.
- DJ Smith likes UT, Clemson, SCAR and UGA
2015 Recuits
- '15 CA QB Ricky Town commits to Bama. People say Cornwell is screwed because Town held a committable offer before Cornwell earned his spot in Bama's QB competition.
- '15 DC QB Nick Johns - "But Johns' response to the presentation at Tennessee was off the charts and the Volunteers would have a strong position if they decide to offer." - UVA Rivals

- The 4 VU players involved in the rape scandal get charged and 3 turn themselves in.
- Sutton, Weisman, North, Pickett and Vereen get their black stripes removed
