weekend in review....a moratorium

exactly...the timing is directly related to recruiting, otherwise, the timing wouldn't make a difference.

throw in the fact that there may be 4 other big time programs with vacancies....and time is of the essences.

well at this point, it's past being negative.

if you can't look at what's going on now and see how badly we were out coached, then i'd seriously question why you would posting on a football message board.

moreso now than ever, it's the reality of the situation.

I think Michigan somehow wins out and Carr manages to keep his job. Bowden isnt going anywhere. TA&M cannot in any way, shape, or form compete with Tennessee. Nebraska may be a problem for us, but I just dont think so considering that the next coach gets to bask in the shadow of the current AD. Who wants Tom Osbourne looking over their shoulder?

I kept telling people that I was simply being a realist, but I was called negative time and again. Wait 'till we get outcoached by Rich Brooks.

i'm not sure about tenn being a better job than A&M. A&M has great facilities and will pay saban type money for a big time coach and there is a lot of local talent. edit: though A&Ms talent level is pretty bad right now. Nebraska is not a great job right now. If carr beats OSU and wins the bowl game he wont get fired, but I don't see that happening.

i think in the past few years, there were plenty of reasons, in addition to coaching, that have led to losses and less than stellar seasons. Injuries have been a thorn in our side in the past. Off feild problems have been probelms in the past. other teams just being better than us has been a problem in the past.

Yet thru all of that, we were always at least competitive. even in 05, we were in position to win at least 5 of the games we lost. in 04, i'd say the coaches did probalby their best job. Last year we saw SOME improvement.

what sticks out this year to me is that we are no longer competitive with the upper echilon of the SEC. That there are at least 5 programs right now headed in a better direction than we are. losing to FL is not a sin. we've done that plenty in the past. losing to Bama is not a sin, we've done that plenty in the past. losing by more than 3 touchdowns to both is a sin, and says more about where we are competitively than anything i've seen over the past 3 seasons.

that alone is what has done it for me. we simply don't look to be competitive anymore.

Some folks I know(that goes to A&M) are saying A&M wants Tubby T. BAD.
