1. Barron will have a big role by the end of the year. He did a good job of keeping edge integrity and making plays.
2. Crouch is not the answer at ILB. Banks is light-years better but then turns his brain off.
3. DL looks decent. They played a lot of snaps and wore down, but early the interior looked good.
4. Wr will be serviceable. They did some good and bad things. Missed some opportunities for big plays vuadeops or not finishing routes
5. OL looked good. First sack was Chandler's fault not OL.
6. We have two good rbs
7. Guarantano won't win you the game but didn't lose it for us either. He had some shots and some misses were Wr issues. If you run a pc, the wr should expect the ball outside and we messed that up twice. What is most frustrating is the simple stuff that would make us really good G is too inconsistent at. He is still bottom four SEC QB.
8. Specialists were awful.
9. Play calling was typical Chaney head scratcher.
10. USCe is not terrible. Definitely better than last year.
11. Their qb looked pretty good compared to what we have seen in the past.
12. An SEC road win is always a good thing. Lotta room for improvement but it could be worse.

1. Baron is bigger than I thought he’d be.
2. Jacob Warren looks huge
3. Slaughter is very long. Will make plays.
4. Alontae Taylor HAS to quit talking so much trash, especially if he is going to play average.
5. Although Palmer and Johnson had bigger games, Keyton is going to be a very solid player the next few years.

JG seemed to either.be throwing off his back foot,or,could not step into his throws.Maybe drop 2feet.deeper for stride.I don't know the answer. That's why.I sit and watch.

I honestly think Crouch belongs on the offense as a RB. I really do.

Also I think the special teams were alright based on the fact they hadn't even got to practice special teams. That bad snap was not good and the missed block on the failed FG attempt. But other than that it was solid. Gray had a nice punt return. Jones Jr had a good kick return

On #8? Brooks was great after the early miscue. His best performance by far.

Good post. To add and differ just a little bit...

1- Baron was impressive.
2- Crouch has played better. Not ready to give up on him. Banks can become great but you're right about the discipline issues.
3- DL was decent at times but had lapses. I think Muschamp expressed some confidence in his OL. Hopefully we'll see more next week
4- WR's were better than serviceable. I only remember one drop. I didn't see USCe cover them all night. Without all the overthrows... UT is up by a couple of scores at the half. TE's were better than expected IMO
5- OL looked good in pass protection but should have been able to maul USCe in the run game and didn't. Not sure what's going on there.
6- Chandler was definitely the better back. Disappointed no one else played
7-Correct on JG except missing passes like that DOES lose games for you. His misses on what should have been very routine completions for any "good" SEC QB stalled drives several times. Only one of those misses was possibly a throw away from coverage... and that one looked like a simple miss too. His TD pass to #5 however was one of the best throws he's made at UT.
8- Brooks didn't look bad when he actually got the kick off. I don't think UT allowed a kick off return. Missed FG could have easily been the difference in the game though. Jones and Gray both had nice returns.
9- Not sure what the complaint is with the playcalling. If JG doesn't miss open WR's and the OL pushes USC's DL around like they should have... the playcalling looks brilliant.
10- I'm not sure we'll know how good USCe is until we get a couple of games in. That's another disadvantage of no OOC games
11- Hill was on target and on time most of the night. Smith once again owned UT's secondary.... troubling that essentially a one man WR corps can do that to UT's secondary.
12- A loss would have been much worse but between the lack of OL push and JG's awful misses UT didn't keep the ball. They gave USCe too many plays and opportunities. Too many points taken off the board. Mizzou showed a little spine against Bama and were down several players.

They work drills on moving around in the pocket every practice. He has to move in the pocket to open up passing windows. Not hard to get middle pressure on a guy who's a statue.

Many of JG's misses looked like he was off time more than off target.

Had a blast, there were some rude fans. JG overthrew a lot of WR’s. Secondary looked bad , but Tennessee’s best cover corner played a lot of safety. Overall it was a W and we pounded beer with the USCe band. Good times, make memories and Go Vols!!!

I know it's a weird season and teams have a lot of rust to knock off but after watching a lot of games I think we could potentially struggle with every game in the schedule.

I think the difference between 6-4 and 4-6 will be razor thin.

I got what I expected out of JG but I was greatly disappointed with the D, the run game, special teams and play calling

The negative is still JG.

3rd down was bad.

Red zone is still an issue. Didn’t impact this game because they were able to run it in. But, if they have to throw it in, I don’t trust him.

I've always felt his internal clock (moving off the 1st read to the 2nd and 3rd) has just never developed at the pace it has to be, to play in this league. His feel or anticipation is just not there. That causes hesitation and in the redzone where the window closes as quick as it opens. It magnifies his weakness.
