Vols and A&M play on CBS at 3:30 or ESPN at 7-7:15.

TV schedule for weekend of October 8

CBS has exercised a six-day option for Oct. 8 games. Being held for six-day selection by CBS are Alabama at Arkansas or Tennessee at Texas A&M. The game not selected by CBS will be on ESPN at 7pm ET/6pmCT or 7:15pm ET/6:15pm CT.

Arkansas and Alabama are almost guaranteed to win their games this week, even if they didn't play any of their starters. A&M should have no problem with South Carolina either. So, it looks like the week 6 game time hinges on what Tennessee does this Saturday against Georgia.

Is there a possibility that the Bama game will be a 8pm CBS kickoff? They usually do 8pm CBS kickoff for LSU/BAMA game. With LSU not as good as previous years, will CBS give us that primetime slot?

Nope. CBS has already announced LSU/Alabama as their doubleheader night game this year.

We beat Georgia, we play at 3:30. We lose, we play at 7.

We'll play anyone, anywhere, anytime. Has always been that way and needs to stay that way. Don't be scared, we grew up Saturday!

The team hasn't grown up until they beat down an SEC powerhouse on their own field.

Having the fortitude and swagger to pull that off means you have grown up.

There isn't a SEC powerhouse on our schedule that we play away. Georgia isn't this first year with a new regime. A&M hasn't even been in the Conference championship game so you can't call them a SEC powerhouse. Are they better then what the pre-season "media experts" reported - probably. Powerhouse - No. So are you going to wait until next year to enjoy?
Enjoy the ride man, we are on a 10 game winning streak, including a couple of ranked teams and beating Florida. 10 and freaking 0. I'm not sure what more you folks want.

We better hope that it's the ESPN game. If it's on CBS, either we lost or Tx AM lost.

If both TN/TxAM goes 5-0 into the game, it will 100 percent be on ESPN and 100 percent have College Game Day there. (I have sources)

Why, if CBS is reserving the option, would CBS relinquish an undefeated Top 10 matchup between UT/TAMU to ESPN?

Who the heck said I wasn't enjoying it??? I'm sick to death of people criticize others for having differing opinions. I'm very happy we won but I'm also not delusional about it. We beat a very putrid Florida team. An utter beat down is what we should have expected. This was not a Spurrier or Meyer Florida team. Beating Georgia or A&M on the road is a monumentally more huge win. And both of those teams are powerhouse programs even if Georgia is a little down. The next three games define our team. Our first real SEC road trip, a very hot A&M team and the juggernaut Bama. We have a chance to be a real national story based on what we do next. That will grow this team up REAL fast.

I get what you are saying but there might be some sort of "payout" too. If TN wins and goes to 6-0 against Bama, that's gonna be crazy. Even if they lose to Tx AM I think they take the TN/BAMA game.

I could be wrong wrong with CBS/ESPN.. but I'm 100 percent right about Game Day being there if both teams go 5-0.

I know some peeps in that dept. There's really no other game to go too.

Dang. Idiot nephew is getting married that day at 4.

Thinking about buying him 12 lessons in ballroom dancing for a wedding present.

No. The CBS evening doubleheader week was announced for Nov. 5 this year (they announced it back in June).
