Exactly where we should be. Let's lick our wounds as get ready to go on a run. We are good enough to win every game left on our schedule. Not saying we will but we are a playoff caliber team and if Joey keeps playing like Saturday we will be in Atlanta

Agree - we just need to stay healthy and get some players on defense back. It stings to lose like we did - but dang we saw a glimpse of how good we could really be. Just need to keep our heads on straight, play with a chip on our shoulders and take it one game at a time.

These rankings are a joke. I don't know how anyone takes much from this crap this early in the year.

Vandy just steamrolled South Carolina and is only one spot ahead of them.

Though they've played a tough schedule allegedly ND hasn't won a game.

Iowa State is squeaking by teams and put on a masterful display beating Arkansas State 24-16.

Texas getting by on reputation with less than impressive wins over two bad teams.

LSU win against Clemson is losing its shine but they got a 1st place vote.

Many others have played a schedule that would make City College blush.

The AP poll has been a joke for years. Look at the breakdown of where writers place teams. Last week 2 didn’t have TN ranked at all. I haven’t looked this week.

Trusting “writers” for polls, MVP, All Stars or Hall of Fame is ludicrous.

Coaches are marginally better but I think half of them let the water boy fill out their ballot.

At the end of the day, the only poll that matters is the Playoff Committee.

We are in a good position they respect our close loss and performance against the Dawgs not to drop us. We got to navigate this schedule to get to 10-2 at least and we will be in the playoff.

If the AP follows suit, I think the SEC sets a record with 12 yeams ranked...unreal.
Nope. AP Poll chose to drop South Carolina fully out of the polls after the stomping Vanderbilt gave them and put in 3-0 USC instead at #25.

And unfortunately the next team out - South Carolina - plays ranked Missouri next week. With next weekend’s schedule, the only way you’re going to see 12 in is if both (1) Auburn upsets Oklahoma and (2) Mississippi State beats NIU and gets a lot of help (which is unlikely, that’d mean BYU losing to East Carolina, SMU beating TCU, and USF losing to South Carolina State).
