Of all the reasons that we lost, this one gives me the most hope. I'm sure I'm missing something though.

if i remember correctly, i think Tennessee (0-2) was still in the top 20 after losing close games to Georgia and USCw in 1980.

While it did lose to Georgia and USC to start the year, Tennessee wasn’t ranked at all in the polls throughout the 1980 season (including the polls to start the season).

Ohio State should stay at the top until proven different. 2-6 is interchangeable at this point. 7-15 will change throughout the year.
