Brett McMurphy has Tennessee in the Music City Bowl against Iowa while Mark Schlabach has Tennessee playing West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl. They both predict GT to play Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl. Brett picks BYU to play Central Florida in the Miami Beach Bowl while Mark has BYU playing Cincinnati

I'm hoping for a UT vs Iowa match up. My in-laws are Hawkeye fans and I was in Iowa visiting and had to hear all about Iowa and hear them tell me how UT wouldnt be good for a few years so I want to play Iowa and beat the crap out of them.

Why is byu relevant to ut football (turns out I'm mormon so I would like to know) but I doubt the other 99.9% of fans on here care. And gt also

Iowa would be a tough game in the trenches but they are quite slow every where on the team. I would think Dobbs could run rings around them

GBO97 Look at the three favorite team blocks below my handle. Those are my three favorite teams and that's why i added Georgia Tech and BYU to the post and you're the only one who's given me heck about it. If you don't like it put me on ignore.

Georgia Tech handles FSU. They are a team that nobody wants to play right now.

for what it's worth, I listened to the Music City bowl president this morning. he very much sounded like he has his eyes set on a higher win SEC team. kept mentioning LSU, Auburn, and Georgia. didn't seem interested in Tennessee

The problem for the MCB in taking Tennessee is that while they will sell out the stadium, most UT fans will drive in the day of the game instead of spending 2,3 or 4 days spending money on hotels, restaurants, sightseeing, etc.

I'm not mad at you,Steve. It's rough that they turn their noses up at the University of the state of Tennessee and the amount of UT fans that will show up to their second rate bowl.

I listened to the same interview and I believe he only mentioned those teams once. Maybe I'm wrong

I don't have good memories of the Music City Bowl. But it's a better bowl than many expected for the #11 team in the SEC.

I think the MCB is out simply because it would mean UT would play in Nashville 3 times in less than a year. I don't think anybody is interested in that.

It doesn't really matter what bowl. I'll be there. I went ahead and bought MC bowl tickets anyway though so I hope it is the MCB. But if not its cool. I can sell them since I live close. But my roommate is a Duke fan so we would love to see that matchup here close to home!

Calm down, its more than about ticket sales. Given the recent history of all the teams mentioned, who would you take and be honest? I'm taking LSU they travel well so not only ticket sales but hotel sales as well not to mention they are just a better national brand at the moment. Tennessee would sell the stadium out but that's about it.

I know the Indy Bowl is a low grade bowl but it sure would be nice to see my team without having to drive 6+ hrs to the closest game. It would only be 10 mins away
