I've done that too.

I'll check this thread in the morning. If anybody has good contact info for UTAD--email, whatever--I'm willing to contact them and give my opinion if you'll post the contact info on here.

Maybe a few thousand others will pick up and do the same.

Double D must have headed off to bed. Same for me.

And you haven’t been going around pushing Kiffin. I don’t agree with your choice because of a moral stance so ignore me! I don’t care but I won’t stop giving my opinion in a public thread. Nor will you
With all due respect i guess your moral stance doesnt include forgiveness and second chances

I think he would kill it. At this point I top three are Kiffin, Leach and Peterson. just please no Brohm, Morris or no state dude. Does anyone see Fulmer and peyton signing off on Kiffin? I don’t but i hope so

Do Fulmer and Payton matter? If so that means they signed off on The disaster Sunday

This is what Arkansas thinks of Lane Kiffin. "Kiffin rehabbed his image enough while serving as the offensive coordinator at Alabama to get a head coaching chance. He was a candidate for several Power 5 head jobs last year before going to Florida Atlantic, and if he can have success with the Owls this year, Arkansas may be willing to give him a call. FAU is currently 8-3 and in bowl game position." He will be coaching in the SEC.

Oh it does include forgiveness! The old saying goes fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

What has Kiffin done to look like he’s ready to change. Just last year he was trolling us on tweeter. If a man asks for forgiveness and says he’ll change then go right ahead. Every job he left seemed like a burnt bridge... even Alabama.

People in here want to act like I’m some kind of clueless but the fact is a lot of people outside of Tennessee are laughing at our fan base. Our fans blame the AD and up but never look at how they act.

Tell me again why Kiffin is living his coaching life like Benjamin Button? More than just me can walk away from disaster and not look back. Forgiveness, learn from it, and move on.

Lane is such a no brainer. Johnny Majors left Pitt after a NC to come to TN. Then went back there after we fired him. What is the difference with what lane Did? He told everyone he would go to USC if they called. There are zero better coaches out there

So what about Majors leaving Pitt to come here after a NC then them hiring him back?

Lane was served humble pie professionally and personally since he left here. He has publicly admitted leaving TN was a mistake. He has publicly stated he thought he was ready for this job but in hindsight he was not ready, thay he was too immature. He was asked publicly why he trolls on Twitter and he stayed that people take things too seriously, he just does it to make people laugh. He also oubkixkt acknowledges that if he wasn't winning he would get hammered for it. His personality is why he can recruit so well and is also why he is a successful coach. He has confidence in himself.

You don't want lane. Who is your top choice?

Better get him before Jimbo leaves FSU... Or he’ll be wearing garnet and gold.

Good god I would barf from seeing us be too timid to take a chance on him, and then seeing a top tier program such as FSU take a swing on him.

On the other hand, if he becomes coach, it can soak up much of Florida's recruiting in the state and beat down Mullen once a year.

We want Kiffin!

I don't think they will even consider Kiffin!! I maybe wrong and hope I am, but I think Haslam with a few others will prevent that from EVER happening...:whistling:

3 separate polls on volquest at different times of the day had him at 85% approval.

Imo, at this point Lane would be accepted by 90% of this fanbase as a good hire

Is he gona bring Nick Saban's daughter with him? This guy is the single most unethical "coach" to ever set foot on our field as "our" coach, and you'al want him back.

Unbelievable. I wouldn't invite this guy in my house for dinner. He got us in trouble with the SEC Office weekly when he was here the last time, and him and Ogeron (sp?), weren't they just quality people when they walked out the door.

Kiffin..... Holly Jesus!

Where I live is Memory Lane, I remember quite well his year here, I remember how him and Ed walked out, I remember that 2 minute press conference (if it was that), I remember several recruits parents (reportedly) saying Ogeron was calling them while Kiffin was in the room with the Press, and Ogeron reportedly telling them to hold off on signing and go to Southern Cal.

Is he talented, sure. Is this what our team needs? You and everyone else are most entitled to your opinion. I don't want him, and I don't think "90% of the fan base want and will accept him" as another poster indicated. And yeah, my opinion is worth 2 grains of salt and I don't pretend otherwise. If we CAN'T do better than him, how disappointing for us.

Get off your horse. Do you want to win or do you want to continue getting participation trophies to the tune of 0-8 sec records? Under the circumstances he is by far the best coach available. I guarantee that when he gets top 5 classes and is competing with bama you would no longer feel the same

You don't have a good memory.

Lane told TN before they hired him he would leave for USC if they ever called, said it would be the only job he would leave for. How can he be more upfront and honest than that? TN then put a $900k buy-out on Lane, not protecting their interests. He then tried to hold a press conference and explain why he was leaving but a riot started on campus with the infamous mattress burnings and it was cut short.

Lane isn't perfect, I loathed him for a long time as well but he has publicly admitted it was a mistake to leave TB. Monte publicly stated it was the biggest mistake of Lane's career and that "we never should have gotten on that plane", if he is saying that in public then you know him and lane have had the same convo in private.

The past 9yrs have served Lane humble pie. He has also publicly stated that even though he thought he was ready for the TN job in hindsight he was not. He got embarrassed with a firing at USC, served under the dictator of Saban for 3yrs to resurrect his careet, and his wife left him,. Through that he managed to keep it together and is now succeeding in a big way at FAU. He is a smart guy, he knows that his next P5 job will be his last chance, he is only 40yrs old, that is a young age to end your HC career. He is not going to screw that up. He has gotten praises at FAU from the academic side as well. There is an article from a woman from the AA side that said she expected to not like Kiffin but has grown to sincerely like him and that he does care about the academics with his players.

If you ever want to beat Alabama you hire Kiffin. I just don't see this administration ever going that route.

Can't put too much stock in what he does on twitter. It's not a big deal. He isn't making fun of us, he is having fun with people tweeting him about coming back. He is campaigning for the job

Here's hoping I wake up tomorrow morning to a cell phone alert saying we've hired Kiffin.

Unless there's somebody interested that we dont know of he's by far our best option left and anyone who disagrees is being bullheaded.

You have to let this Gruden s..t go man. As a matter of fact, the name Gruden should never be spoken on Volnation again. We should be tired of being his puppet.
