Daniel Hood said he doubts Carter makes it back this season...turf toe takes a while to heal.
Unfortunately turf toe is basically tearing the ligament under your big toe joint. Hard to fit your toe in a cleat initially. You can still try to brace and tape it up in a cleat but this ain’t the 70s and too much size and speed out there to compete. It’s not a matter of toughness. Literally big toe has to be taped to not bend so you run on the outside of your foot or heels. Hell maybe our whole back 7 has double turf toe. We’ve been on our heels all year.

Everybody has injuries. Oklahoma has a list twice as long as ours. Hood has a chance of playing, he isn’t out yet. Injuries are never an excuse with me, you play with who you have. The next man up has to be ready to rock! GBO

Hopefully McCoy is back for Flarda.

Him and Hood at.Corner.

Redmond at Nickel. With McMurray

Boo can sit the F down and quit hurting this team by halfassing everything
Boo did cause the fumble that resulted in a touchdown. His head isn't right and shows but it isn't just him. Linebackers can't guard in space and have bad hips. Safeties the same also Ty Redmon hasn't gotten better and is basically the same as the first game. DTs don't stop the run at all. We need to spend some money on the Defense this off-season or this isn't getting better. Also the offensive is scoring faster than last 2 years so Defense plays alot more without depth. It's deeper than just Banks!!! Its also personal and we are gonna have to find some help in the portal or else.

Looking at this through my negative glasses. If McCoy and Gibson stay healthy, does this staff even attempt to find a spot to get Hood on the field? I have my doubts.
They got Hood in the Spring window, so by then they knew McCoy was going to miss a portion of the season. So Hood came here knowing he would get on the field to start and that is all he would need to prove he deserves to be out there somewhere.

True. So, without the injury, this scenario never happened.

Yes. Hood would have been the Star. Would’ve been a completely different DBackfield.

That assumes that we still land Hood with a healthy McCoy, though.

Please let us know when you see him in "team" reps. Then we will know he's ready.

Well, they have to get healthy first. And yes, Hood would still play early and often.
