Does anyone know what time of the day recruits generally arrive for their official visit? TDOT has been salting the roads around the clock. Just hope this doesn't prevent some of the recruits visiting from making it in.

Don't know what time they usually arrive, but if they'll wait to get to Knoxville until this afternoon they should be fine. May not be a real problem anyway considering how well the main roads have been treated. JMO.

I know some arrive Friday nights to get settled in, but the official doesn't start til Saturday morning. Could be wrong though.

The OV visit is for 48 hours, Most come in on Friday to start it and leave around the same time on Sunday. The later they come in on Friday the longer they stay on Sunday which is usually the case if they have school on Friday.

Roads have been salted all night. Temperatures would have to drop well below freezing for the roads to freeze. Not going to be the prettiest day, but unless you are in a residential area or the country travel should be fine.

There's 9 weather related wrecks on I-40 currently in the Knoxville area alone. It's nasty out there. Most should plan to arrive tomorrow since it should be clear by then
