Fans like to see the season as static. It's not static. Its different players missing against different teams and the way the different teams are playing.
Tennessee barely beat App. State and was "lucky" to beat Va. Tech some may say. But they made the plays and forced the turnovers to beat them. Just like A&M did Saturday.
It could be said from an Aggie perspective that it should have been a blowout - IF Myles Garrett is healthy, Trevor Knight could throw a forward pass, and if Trayveon Williams doesn't fumble at the end of the game.
But guess what - that's why you play the game.
In my maroon-tinted glasses, both teams were pretty evenly matched, but if the Aggies would have had Ricky Seals Jones (their best possession receiver and their best blocker on the outside), a healthy Myles Garrett (you saw what he did in limited time during the game - forced the pressure in overtime that made Dobbs throw the ball early and cause an INT and before caused a sack), Good playing Trevor Knight (like he was in the Ark game), then A&M wins this game easily.
But it could just as easily been said if Tennessee didn't have 7 turnovers, was themselves healthy, then they win the game easily.
See, you can see if from both ways. Hopefully, we see the rematch in the SEC championship game.
