We will see A&M again

Alabama will drill this team. I think Ole Miss will beat them as well. Hell, they squeaked by Arkansas.

Ahhh, I love sour grapes. You barely beat Appalachian and needed them to miss an extra point for you to win, and you are saying WE barely beat Arkansas? Enjoy your easy East with a bunch of soft teams. You are going to find out this weekend that you don't belong in the west either. Believe me, I'm pulling for a Bama loss, but what will the excuses be this next weekend?

Fans like to see the season as static. It's not static. Its different players missing against different teams and the way the different teams are playing.

Tennessee barely beat App. State and was "lucky" to beat Va. Tech some may say. But they made the plays and forced the turnovers to beat them. Just like A&M did Saturday.

It could be said from an Aggie perspective that it should have been a blowout - IF Myles Garrett is healthy, Trevor Knight could throw a forward pass, and if Trayveon Williams doesn't fumble at the end of the game.

But guess what - that's why you play the game.

In my maroon-tinted glasses, both teams were pretty evenly matched, but if the Aggies would have had Ricky Seals Jones (their best possession receiver and their best blocker on the outside), a healthy Myles Garrett (you saw what he did in limited time during the game - forced the pressure in overtime that made Dobbs throw the ball early and cause an INT and before caused a sack), Good playing Trevor Knight (like he was in the Ark game), then A&M wins this game easily.

But it could just as easily been said if Tennessee didn't have 7 turnovers, was themselves healthy, then they win the game easily.

See, you can see if from both ways. Hopefully, we see the rematch in the SEC championship game.

I think a&M loses at least 3 games before its over.

They probably have the weakest SEC defense Vols have played.

A&M fan here

And I get it, I would have sour grapes too after watching that game.

Weirdest game I've ever seen. Tennessee outplayed A&M and I think everyone could see that. But just like the App State games, Ohio games, etc. you can't take every game in isolation and project it. Our defense sucked yesterday, we were lucky to win. Bama will beat us, yes, but as for the rest who knows.

I think A&M is just better than Arky.

LSU and Ole Miss are hard to call at this point.

Bama is the best team in the conference right now.

You realize Tennessee had 3 Preseason All SEC players out and a 4th outstanding Soph LB? The good trevor shows up once a year per Sooners so Im afraid you've seen the best he has already.

No grapes. UT put it on the ground and A&M took advantage and won the game. Its football. Its Bama's league right now until someone else says otherwise. A&M is no more relevant to that than UT at this point.

Me too Zoo. Gotta alittle business to take care of this weekend tho. Then it'll be y'all's turn.

They shut Tennessee down in the first half without Myles Garrett.

If a healthy Garrett plays the entire game, the game would have been vastly different.

He isn't the consensus #1 or 2 draft pick next year because he sucks. He's that good.

aTm CAN be a dangerous team and had a couple guys not 100% so that can def change things. As far as the TO's, we put the ball on the ground 7 times, y'all took it away 7 times, don't really matter. All that matters is we had 7 TO's.

I will say this though, shoe on the other foot, if aTm came to Neyland and before the game was over was down 8-9 very important players and commited 7 TO's at our house, if UT didn't win by 30 I'd either be thinking aTm must be the best dang team in the nation or we flat out suck.

Ahhh, right on time, straight outta College Station..Where the men are "yell leaders" and the sheep are nervous..Good luck with that whole Bama,LSU and Rebel thang..You'll have the bitter taste of losses as well..Be glad y'all escaped with a win Saturday, but your time would be better spent devising a game plan to beat Bama, LSU and Ole Miss..And making plans for the Liberty Bowl...The Vols will send you a postcard from Atlanta Dec 3rd.....

Defense wasn't the problem. The 8 turnovers were what kept us from winning by double digits.

A'M didn't shut TN down, TN shut TN down..we had 300+ yards the first half and 4 turnovers. A healthy Garrett wouldn't have changed that.

We're gonna see them again in Atlanta.

And we'll win.

PERIOD.

Alabama is more probable. If they lose Saturday they will come out swinging against Texas am fighting for their spot in the western throne. I will be at the game on Saturday.. We are getting key players back and it should be a awesome game.

Keep in mind.. If it was not for the turnovers.. Would have been a different outcome.

A&M sucks??

Did you all watch the game?

They forced almost all of those turnovers today.

Exposed??? How about they beat an injured but still very good Tennessee team.

Bama is not the offensive juggernaut you all think they are.

I fully expect A&M to beat them.

Some of you all....

It's stuff like this that absolutely fascinates me about the people on here and our fan base. It's funny how Florida had the scary #1 defense in the world that we weren't going to gain a first down against then we move the ball all over them and all of a sudden they are garbage. This last week there were several on here already giving up to this amazing John Chavis defense and how it was going to stop us dead in our tracks. We put up 670+ yards on them and now this week they are garbage, they couldn't stop a runny nose and are going to lose 3+ games. Could it really be that our offense is starting to click? Could it really be that TN does in fact have a team that can contend with a Top 10 team that can contend even with back ups in the game?

Guys I am feeling pretty dang good about Bama and this defense that every one is now playing up. If we move it on them I can't wait to hear how their defense is garbage next week I will take that!

Yeah A&M isn't making it to Atlanta, a good team would've taken those seven turn overs and turned them into points, they only scored on what three of them?

Their defense is also not as good as they like to think it is, they have Garrett but that's about it. Plus eventually Knight will play like he did at OU which cost him the starting job there.

Is A&M good? Yes they are. Are they championship material? No they are not. I have more faith in LSU than I do A&M.

It could also easily be said that if Tennessee had a healthy Darrin Kirkland, a healthy, Cam Sutton, a healthy JRM, a healthy Hurd, a healthy Quarte Sapp, etc. that we also could have easily beat TAMU.

Injuries go both ways, and TN arguably was hit much harder by the injury bug prior to the game and most definitely during the game. You play the game with what you have.

The voters in the AP have spoken. Do you think A&M would have stayed in the top-10 if they had lost that game in double OT?
Tennessee did not even drop one spot. When has a team lost a mid-season game and not dropped in the AP poll?

We might, the question is why are we still seeing you? You quit on this team, right?

Seriously this^.

Also no.. A&M will lose to Bama and lose to Ole Miss, also might lose one to LSU. A&M not that good, their quarterback is definitely not good, look at his throws against our weakened secondary..
