People around here are seriously battling with delusions at this point. Looking at the Vols recent running history against FL, they'll be lucky to be in the POSITIVE yardage.

Put the pipe down and walk away, just walk away

That's what happens with this homerific fanbase. Win a coupla non-conference games and all of a sudden we can beat the 85' Bears.

Yes, I said it.

Either Neal or Lane will run for 100 yards and CP will break another on an end a round.

This game is going to be much more balanced on offense than people are expecting.

Watson will also be in the game.

Neo, don't post in the football forum anymore. Stick to belittling anybody that does physical labor for a living in the politics forum.

We'll do good to have 100 yards rushing as a team, but I don't see any way a single back has 100 yards unless they break off a miracle 60+ yard run.

By the way mods, EXCELLENT upgrade on the user profile adding "likes" to post count. Quality poster indicator?

<-------------high ratio imo.

I'm betting we have 2 backs with about 60 yards on the ground, at least 1 RB with 50 yards receiving, in addition to what the receivers do.

If we have 125 as a team on 36 carries I'd call that a win. I think we'll struggle to best 4ypc against this D. I'd call it succesful if we are anywhere near 3.5. I think a good 20-30 of that will be on some one off play like an end around etc. I'd like to see DY or pig get another 10-20 on some delay draw play like against GSU with the remaining 75-95 going to mostly one back like Neal.

Lot of crazy optimism floating around this week. I gotta admit that I good about the game but I am not going to go off the deep end and say that we are going to blow them out or run it down their throats.

With that said I hope UT kicks some gata tail this weekend.

UF has some talented athletes. We even tried to recruit some of them to UT. Some analyst are saying that UF has a top 5 rated defense. You gotta think that with their recruiting success, they'll be good. Muschamp knows very well to try and take an opposing teams strengths away, and make them one deminsional. IMO, he will play a lot of nickel to take away our passing game. BUT, we have way too many targets on this years team. Vols win a closer game than I would like.

But those don't count, right?

They have showed it and most of the plays called were suppose to go up the middle and Neal bounced them outside for a lost and Lane came in and started running up the middle. I hope one of them or both have a good night but To act like they haven't been trying to run the ball is just crazy. I think we all went through this last year at the start , thinking we were saving our running game for FLa and that's when we all found out we didn't have one.

This!

I agree with this I think we will run more I this game to run more effectively. Look at the runs in the past 2 games out of the I. The holes were enormous. I dont know how Florida will handle the changes on their d due to injuries but I know we can do some power running if chaney allows it! Can't wait to be in Knox gbo!

Trying to "run it down UF's throat" plays right into their hands.

Have to play our game, make them at least respect the run then, make them pay with the pass.

I swear... half your posts are about Tennessee fans being homers and taking jabs at the fan base. You're like a broken record and it's freaking annoying.

My favorite part is how everyone (myself included) immediately stopped reading the thread to correct his math error resulting in 2+ pages of "check your math" and a complete thread derail.

We could win 75-3, and we would still be closer than I would like. ;)
