Guys, UCLA's defense was legit and our staff made the proper adjustments and we dominated them in every phase in the fourth quarter. I think those last drives were huge for our team. Sure we failed on 4th and goal but we still put together very nice drives despite the box being stacked. Crompton will be put in a situation by our staff where he won't have to make hardly any decisions next weekend. Look for creative running on the edges more dumps to Brown, with Hardesty up the gut in short down situations and bootlegs passes and short TE routes and occasional play action. This staff has shown they can make adjustments and we all know how good the D is. We can play Beamer style ball and beat them.

Also, UCLA is not nearly as bad as they were last year and like us has an excellent coaching staff. Yet we were still two TDs better than them with a QB who didn;t turn it over or a little better gameplan. Now Kiffin knows what he has to work with and will have a much better gameplan for the Gators. The guy is a genuis...just wait. He thought he could turn Crmpton inot a Carson Palmer...well now he knows he was wrong and will come up with a better plan for the Gators.

I'm not sure about everything you are saying but I hope you are right or the next week at work will be hell for me.

It'll be close for 2 maybe 3 quarters but the depth of UF and our lack of depth will cause them to pull away. UF would destroy UCLA and they are gonna beat us soundly. Only way we keep it close is if the QB (whoever it is) doesn't do anything stupid and manages the game well.

Kool-Aid tastes good!

I think someone spiked yours though...

vodka in my kool-aid, thats the only way I will drink it. I may need to get some to think that we will beat UF, any thing is possible, but some things are not very likely and this is one of them.
I think I will go make some kool aid now

I hope so, but UCLA is no comparison to the Gators and we couldn't even finish them off.

You're either incredibly optimistic or borderline delusional.

Brian Price and Rahim Moore are decent players but compared to the Florida defense that has 3 first team All Americans in Dunlap, Spikes, and Haden...and a whole lot of talent around those guys, our O-line will be destroyed. Crompton throws more picks than completions when he has time in the pocket. It is going to be ugly. Our defense will do better than in year's past but the score of the game will be 30-7 at best.

I believe CLk and staff will come up with a good gameplan now that they fully realize Crompton can't be asked to carry the offense once the box is stacked. They put all their fait in Crompton as the pic to start the second half proves and changed from that mindet in the fourth and look how well we did in the fourth yards wise and time of possession and even 1st downs. We will beat U, don't worry.

You are the one who is delusional if you think Kiffin lets Crompton sit in a pocket. He will always be ordered to roll out top hwere the least amount of pressure is expected to be.

Anything is possible.

We've beat them before,

and we'll beat them again.

Is this the time? Maybe, the game hasn't been played yet.

I just hope the team isn't as pessimistic as some of our fan base is. It's almost sickening to read.

I just hope the team doesn't read these forums because they will think the fans have given up on them after one loss.

Suck it up Vol fans. It's not the end of the world. We will keep getting better...but we won't overlook anyone from now on after Saturdays humbling loss. The loss may end up helping us more than it hurts us in the long run. Over confidence is a bad thing. I think Florida is exactly that right now. Bring on the Gators. It won't take a miracle to beat them, just a little luck, and the turnovers falling our way for once. The Gators risky play to score often could result in turnovers for us (Troy gave them a lot of fits early with turnovers.)

I'm just tired of reading this doom and gloom crap on here that is honestly unwarranted. Sure, our quarterback hasn't shown us much, but next week Florida could be the one with a bad day. You never know, but if the team goes into the game with the same attitude as some of our fans, it won't go so well. A big part of football is mental, and tearing the team down doesn't help it improve

at least kiffin has now seen crompton break under pressure. And hopefully he has a miracle plan to help him with that.. i mean you cant really help someone with out witnessing there problem, but at least not he sees what cromptons main problem is... Lets just hope he can help him with it.or at least find what works
