We will beat florida

Do we rush the field? Is that gonna be the next thread...

2 great things can be done. One payback for Chattanooga tearing our goalposts down after beating us. And the SEC office fining Florida for their field being rushed.

I hate to say it but at this point I'm having a bad feeling about this season.

1: I called 9 wins and I'm always a game or two over. If things go as usual we will wind up with a 7 win season.

^Not a true fan imo.^ It's your fault then we lost to Oklahoma. Raise your expectations to winning 17 games and we will win 15.

Lol j/k

My prediction is we are winning by six in the fourth quarter and in the process of victory formation Dobbs fumbles. A FL defensive lineman picks it up looking to win it for the home team and his teammate tackles him to preserve the victory for TN. Go Vols!

I don't know why.. but I think at this point for the long run the loss was a good thing... coaches more than kids.. but the hunger is deep and there and we take it to Florida in the swamp...

No way! Even when we field a superior team, Florida always beats us.

Momentum was swinging our way in the 1st quarter of one season in Gainesville, but an injury to Justin Hunter cost us the momentum and the game. We had Da rick & Justin and a fairly good running game. Florida was not going to beat us that day, BUT......

One season, in Gainesville, our q.b. broke his thumb and we lost the game early. For once, our q.b. was better than the q.b. that they had starting but we still lost.

One season, florida had an inept coach and a poor team by Florida standards. One player ran for 198 yards and they beat us at Neyland. then they laughed at our stupid newspaper quotes that we had made all week long.

I always chalk up Florida & Alabama as automatic losses on our schedule each season. Once in every 10 years we might beat one of them and once in every 25 seasons we will beat both in the same season. very rare!!!!!

Then your receivers should be doing better against lesser talent. UF's secondary is the best they will face all year.
Hargreaves is lockdown at 5' 11"
Tabor is 6' and Wilson is 6' 1"
Will be a tough matchup for sure for them to get going if Dobbs can't get them the ball sooner or in space.

I agree with this. This is why I say if Tennessee has a decent passing game it will come from receptions from Wolf at TE and wheel routes with Hurd and Kamara.

This seems familiar

Yep. Every year. Same thing. Usually get a few of these posts each year in the lead up to Florida week. Sooner or later it will happen. You know.....blind squirrel deal. As others have said, see it, believe it. Til then nope.

After this Oklahoma debacle, if we lose to Florida but do not win out (with the exception of Alabama) Butch's seat will be on FIRE. Next year will be put up or GTFO, Ron Zook 2.0

When bUTch arrived here, the first thing he did was warm up to the fans. He knew that it was a rebuilding project and that patience would wear thin quickly. If he had the fans on his side and he was likeable, then that would buy him more time.

Regardless of the season records, as long as the fans love him, he will not be fired. However; once he makes stupid Dooley comments or " Mess with me, I am 40, I am a man" type comments, then he will soon be gone.

" Florida is who we thought they were. We had em but we let them off the hook. Crown them if you want to."

Notice how Pearl, even when he lied, and even phoned the recruits parents and coached them in to lying to the NCAA, over 50% of the fans wanted to retain him. He was a fan favorite, plus he won some games that we were not favored to win. Oklahoma State, Kansas, Florida, etc. etc.

Fans attitude towards the coach matters.

You do remember we started Peterman in that game? And Worley entered after Peterman broke his thumb! Peterman played like hot garbage. Had Worley played the whole game then yes our ability was better than theirs.

I cannot image a scenario where UF's defense does not take advantage of our weaknesses on offense. The weak O Line, timid WRs, and a QB who seems to strugge with passes beyond 15 yards, will be exploited repeatedly. Our only hope is to have defensive success against their struggling offense and win the special teams matchup.

The coaches couldn't handle the pressure of trying to close out Oklahoma at home up by double digits.

What on earth would cause me to believe they could beat Florida, on the road, and end the streak which is enough pressure itself by double digits?

Sorry it won't happen.

Of we do won it will be by 3.

Problem with that is even when the middle is open ala Oklahoma Wolfe isn't seen by Dobbs. Only in the red zone

Wolfe should have set records that night but nothing..

I think the run blocking is there its just pass blocking that kills us Jalen can't block every play.

WR is extremely inconsistent...

Well, it's almost a certainty that we will pass during the game. UF has an advantage in those situations.

I have bet on my Vols way too many times in this game, I will never do it again. If you want we agree on a point spread prior to the game and I will gladly wager the opposite and recoup my money. I love the Vols but I can no longer take it. Smart money says gators by just over the the spread.

I'm putting a few hundred on Florida. I wound up winning a hundred from Oklahoma.

If this turns ugly, I would sub Dormady into the game, line him in a shotgun and throw the s..t out of the ball utilizing 5 wides on every play - including the punt formation. I sure as h3ll wouldn't lose running it off guard/tackle into probably the 2-3rd best DL we'll see all year.

Tell me the positions Florida is better than Tennessee?

Well every position on the defense for one, DL as a whole, LB, CB and safety.....I would also say Demarcus Robinson is better right now that your #1 receiver. I am basing on performance not potential. There is a difference.

Define very good please??? A secondary that has one good safety and one good corner. A defensive line that gets very little pressure after all the hype early. A scrambling qb that does better at that than pass the ball down the field?!? A receiving corp that doesn't scare anyone yet.

Yeah very sound, complete team to me.

Joshua Dobbs 13/31 125 4.0 1 1

Sorry just being realistic....

A UF team that only beats ECU by 7 at home. You make good points and TN fans are aware of the issues we have but I'm just being realistic about yours.
