I just want to see how many people now believe we will beat Florida this year, after seeing how much better the team looked in its first game. Please only post here if you believe the Vols will beat Florida this year. If you don't believe we will win that's fine, just don't post your opinion here. I think we have a lot better team than we have been given credit for and I believe we will shock some good teams this year. Let’s get excited and only concede a loss after it happens. That's definitely how I hope our team is looking at it and I hope the rest of the VolNation chooses to look at it that way.:rock::rock:

as much as I would like to jump on this bandwagon....logic tells me that this might not be the year.

Meh, I think we CAN beat Florida. I said that b4 the WKU game.

-We could play amazing they could play meh
- We could hurt Tebow's shoulder in the 2nd QTR (See OU)
- We could catch some breaks, get turnovers etc.
-This is college not NFL. Upsets happen all the time. Go Vols!

I believe we can beat florida. Im looking forward to that game after our performance yesterday. Our defense looked great and Crompton looked much more comfortable throwing the football than he did last year. Im proud of the way our freshmen played and our running game looked top notch. Oku, brown, hardesty, and poole all put on good performances. We need to get past UCLA first though. The only thing that is worrying me is our special teams coverage. If we make the same mistakes on kickoffs against florida James will exploit them and make us pay dearly.

Someone has drank to much kool-aid. As excited as I am about Kiffin and this years team, I doubt we can beat UF, I think we can make it interesting but beating them, I don't think so this year.

Wow, its almost like this is a Gator board with all the negativity. All the naysayers could be wrong about Florida beating the Vols. I would rather come down on the positive side and be wrong, than on the negative side. I'm sure everyone thought Florida would beat Ole Miss in the swamp last year also.

Yeah, defending national champions, Heisman trophy winning quarterback, 19 returning starters, consensus #1, in Gainesville vs. a bunch of freshmen joining a group of veterans who were competitive last year for all of about 4 minutes. I can see the case for optimism against what, on paper, should be one of the better teams in college football history.

Strange things happen on a football field, but don't let a win over a team 2 seasons removed from 1-AA make you mistake a deformed goat for a magical beast.

I believe that the Florida game in Gainesville will be more competitive than the debacle down there in 2007.
