We will BEAT BAMA

Some posts in here really made me change my mind about vols fans. Some of you actually realize kiffin is a loud mouth idiot, kiffin is more worried about his image than how the team does.

On to the game you guys felt exactly what we felt in the seccg last year,TEBOW, The man is a beast whether anyone wants to admit it or not. If tenn gets a QB and a lil better OL you guys will be a force in the sec.

ALso BB looked good running today..and as always berry did. Looking forward to the tenn/bama game.

Just like we beat UCLA at home? Please, we just lost for the fifth straight time to a VERY overrated Florida. We lost because our so-called great coaching staff played to keep it "respectible" rather than playing to win.

But, keep sipping the Kiffin Koolaid. At least it puts you in a better mood after going 1-2 than those of us who've abstained from the bitter-almond-flavored drink.

Bleck!

Hey Coach , glad you could chime in, and gloat on your great talent you left the new staff!

There is literally a handful of VNers who would fall into the category of hating Kiffin. There is maybe one instance from one poster in this thread where you may get that idea. But great assumption on your part.

And I hate you.

We cant score. If we didnt have to play it safe all game & actually could run a offense then we could beat Alabama. Heck we could beat anyone with our D but its just not goin to happen untill we can actually run and pass.

that's probably the most realistic post i've read and i just found this site today... i've was born a vol and can remember wearing condredge holloway's #7 jersey when i was little, but we're predictable on offense... crompton can't operate an offense and therefore they are scared to do anything... you can't win that way... i hate to say it but they are gonna continue to be a disappointment until they can find a quarterback that can carry the team downfield... it's not the running backs job... crompton wouldn't start for anyone else in division 1, and kiffin would leave him in if he broke his arm... it's embarrassing, and it's not fair to the rest of the team.

We were the first real div 1 team FLA played this year. They will get it together. We'll lose to Bama, but that's no biggy. Kiffin will build us a winner. We'll be playing for national titles in 3 years max. These guys can recruit.

Please good sir, dont take your frustration out on me. Take it out on that coach of yours who thinks more about his next smarta$$ comment rather than being a coach.

Now this is over or it will go back and forth all night. So chillax grab some popcorn a beer or two and kick back and watch the texas/tech game.

I'm very glad Fulmer gone.

That being said, I'm not sold on Kiffin. He has the exact same record as Fulmer had last year at this time. Just like Fulmer, Kiffin lost to a very weak PAC 10 team (they went 4-8 year for heaven's sake).

And, don't get going on the recruiting either. Yeah, Kiffin had a fantastic year last year. However, Fulmer closed the #4 class in 2005 and the #3 team in 2007. How'd that work out for us?

Good classes do not necessary equal wins -- it certainly hasn't for us so far this year.

Well first of all these guys are recruiting guys who can come in and play and these guys usally go to USC,FLA,TEXAS,OU and other programsnear ELITE STATUS not to a train wrecked program . Which is were Failmer left this program ,This new STAFF knows how to recruit those SUPER BLUECHIPS and guys that are so good that they cant be ranked until the end....................But with you Phd you already knew that!

Fear breeds all kinds of comments. The guy that signed up and has 3 posts proves this.

It is obvious that CLK CAN coach on gameday. Uh-oh...

Time will tell how good UCLA is...or isn't. Their D was highly touted coming in and we still shoulda rolled em if we had even a stable QB.

I know you're proud, but I assure you it's wildly misplaced.

You've missed several boats in one effort. Brains, football, UT fans and life. Good luck with that.

Are you serious?... That kid is on fire right now.

Yes, he really lit up North Texas State today and Florida International the week before. Va. Tech's defense ain't all that either.

I'm not saying the guy is bad, just that he hasn't really proven himself against better competition. I think Bama will be the team to beat in the SEC this year. May be another SEC championship repeat from last year.

Some of y'all have some problems. We put a little scare in the defending national champs that had virtually their entire team return - ON THE ROAD.
If we had an average SEC QB, who knows, we might have won.
I think we beat Bamer. Hell, we should have beat Bamer the last 2 years. If you don;t think so, then kiss my grits.

If we had an average QB, we'd be 3-0 right now.

But I fail to see how you can point out our QB play sucks and then turn around and say we're going to beat Alabama. We're still going to have the same below average QB starting then.

Did you watch the last 2 Alabama games?

I also think we beat Bama in a low scoring game, they don't have the offense that flordia has. I think Ole Miss will be one to watch out for. I don't think any team will score more than 3 touchdowns on our D.

Did you ever think we would ever celebrate a loss? Yes I am proud of the boys, but also realistic. If not for a Tebow fumble, no telling how bad the score would have been. What was the score, 23 - 6 and they were heading in for a score to make it 30 - 6. I am afraid the flood gates would have opened then. I saw some quitting after the Crompton interception, plain as day. But not from Eric Berry. I hate to imagine what we would be without him and Hardesty. And what happened to Richardson and Teague? Did they even see the field. Were they sick or injured or something. And if you wonder why Nick Stephens is not the starting QB, just ask B.J. Coleman. Go Vols.

I'm not saying UA-UT won't be low scoring (I think Bama will score more than 3 TDs on you because you won't stop our run without getting toasted in single coverage) or that Ole Miss isn't a team to be reckoned with, but right now we have a better offense than UF. UF might have some players to step up in the coming weeks, but as of yesterday we have better receivers, better runner backs, about the same quality of O-line, and a decent QB. Heck, if Tebow plays the rest of the year the way he did yesterday (not saying that he will) I would take McElroy in a heartbeat. Superman didn't even try to throw the ball downfield. In what ways do you think UF's offense is superior to ours right now?

Yeah, right. I remember all the "guarantee" talk about UCLA as well. We've got quite a few more games to play before we think about 'Bama.

This, lets talk about beating bama when the time comes around. Right now, lets focus on doing to Ohio what we did to WKU.

Look at your opponent ysterday. That is like us getting excited over WKU. I don't think Bama wins the west.
