We will BEAT BAMA

this is also a team that lost to a mediocre ucla team a mere week ago. i'm not saying that we won't surprise some other teams this year, but at the same time i'm not going to be unrealistic about things either

Bama is the best team in the SEC, right now.

I agree, I was going to tell the guy starting this thread ... easy now. Alabama has the defense but they also have the offense. They would have beat Florida today at Florida.

Some of y'all have some problems. We put a little scare in the defending national champs that had virtually their entire team return - ON THE ROAD.
If we had an average SEC QB, who knows, we might have won.
I think we beat Bamer. Hell, we should have beat Bamer the last 2 years. If you don;t think so, then kiss my grits.

Elaborate:)

Bama will beat our eyes shut. Look for a different opponent to talk smack about.

Remember we were a Tebow fumble at the endzone away from getting run out of this game

Actually, that was UT's defense stripping a Heisman winner near the goal line. That was amazing. Alabama plays more a pro style offense which we can defend better, but their defense is better than Florida's. IMO. And our offense still is suspect.

Just like we beat UCLA at home? Please, we just lost for the fifth straight time to a VERY overrated Florida. We lost because our so-called great coaching staff played to keep it "respectible" rather than playing to win.

But, keep sipping the Kiffin Koolaid. At least it puts you in a better mood after going 1-2 than those of us who've abstained from the bitter-almond-flavored drink.

Bleck!

"BOY" you need to get over Fulmer,he's gone.:dance2:

Somewhat an understatement of sorts... RBs and OLine played a hell of a game today, props to the D(again), QB play non existent other than taking the snap or handing it off. It won't be long now...

We cant score. If we didnt have to play it safe all game & actually could run a offense then we could beat Alabama. Heck we could beat anyone with our D but its just not goin to happen untill we can actually run and pass.

How exactly are we suspect at QB? Not breaking balls here but the kid in his first 3 games has broken records at Alabama. He's 40 for his last 51 passes!!!

Game 1:
15/30, 230 yds, 1 touchdown, 1 int (first start in college)

Game 2:
18/24, 241 yds, 1 touchdown, 0 int's

Game 3:
13/15, 176 yds, 2 touchdowns, 0 int's (taken out in the 2nd Qtr)

Record holder for Most consecutive completions in a game. Record holder for highest completion percentage in Alabama history in a game where at least 10 passes were attempted.

Just read the 3rd page. I now see that the Original Poster believes John Parker Wilson is still our QB. With all do respect his credibility is no longer existant to me. How can I take his opinion seriously if he doesn't even know that the QB he's insulting is now playing in the NFL?

The bammer is right. McElroy is solid and we would be more than happy to have him here.

I'm very glad Fulmer gone.

That being said, I'm not sold on Kiffin. He has the exact same record as Fulmer had last year at this time. Just like Fulmer, Kiffin lost to a very weak PAC 10 team (they went 4-8 year for heaven's sake).

And, don't get going on the recruiting either. Yeah, Kiffin had a fantastic year last year. However, Fulmer closed the #4 class in 2005 and the #3 team in 2007. How'd that work out for us?

Good classes do not necessary equal wins -- it certainly hasn't for us so far this year.

Are you serious?... That kid is on fire right now.

The original poster admitted that he thought John Parker Wilson was the quarterback for Alabama. So not only has he not watched a single snap from Alabama today to know who the QB is he also took it upon himself to assume that whoever was playing quarterback wasn't doing very well.

Bama is better than Florida...and more well rounded THIS year. I think we'll lose 4 games and make a solid bowl. Now we should root for UCLA. The better they do, the "better" our loss looks. and yes, I'm aware that is a poor choice of words.

That was last year. They are an improved team, much like UT. Kiffin is a good coach with a good supporting cast he is going to turn UT football around and make UT relevant again......just takes a little time
