With the players we have coming back. Are we good enough to both QD and JG ready for Ga Tech? Can we practice with them in live drills? Don't "Release the Beast", but clean live action.
It's my understanding that QD is a pocket passer with "Wheels". JG is a duel threat that can "Spin it". We need to play like "Rock Stars" on defense. Offense needs to play "Lights Out".

I think you are going to get roasted for saying something positive about the football program! The atmosphere around volnation lately is terrible! There are times I am embarrassed with some of the "fanatics" around here!
All the negativity being displayed by some of our fans is being laughed at by other fan bases! While we need to improve, the sky is not falling as some on here continually pontificate. When Johnny Majors came he didn't turn the program around in a couple of years after the Battle era. I am old enough to remember and the talent level after Dooley was even worse than what Majors inherited. Now we at least have some talent at most positions. Yes we need more depth, no question.
The truth is the injury bug killed us last year! We were good enough to field a championship competing team at the first and most of the second level at most positions but we were forced to go four deep in some areas and move players to positions they were not comfortable with as well as play TALENTED inexperienced players. Why can't all the pessimists out there realize this? Seems like Jones thinks the main cause of all the injury problems is strength and conditioning. Okay, he went out and got a proven S & C coach that some whine about, good grief!
Yes DB play was unacceptable, no question. Was the main problem injuries or poor coaching? Pessimists want to fire the coach first without taking a deep breath and rationally thinking the issue through. Let Jones make the decision on how best to fix this issue as I think he knows a little more than some "experts" around here know.
Overall our defense was pitiful, no question. Does that mean Shoop should be fired? To support this one would have to believe Shoop suddenly became stupid the minute he set foot on campus based upon his track record, I don't think so!
Our team did not meet most expectations this year, no doubt! I was especially not happy with the SC and Vandy games, just like everyone else! Does CBJ need to grow as a coach? Absolutely! I think he knows that without all these negaholics constantly being so pessimistic!
There is a point when he will have to produce but we should have learned by now bringing new coaches in every few years is NOT the answer!
Sorry I needed to rant but everyone please take a deep breath and support the players and COACHES! No I am not a "sunshine pumper" only a fan that CAN SEE OVERALL. IMPROVEMENT and a fan that can see changes do need to be made but we do not need to "throw the baby out with the bath water"! WE ARE STILL ON AN UPWARD PATH despite not meeting expectations this year!
