We used to be in the top ten in facilities in stories like this.

Dickey got us the best bricks and buildings early and everyone else caught on.

Just think if we could spend all the money on facilities that we have spent in the last decade on buyouts alone, we could have been #1 easily.

Add to that the revenue lost because of all the losing seasons and apathy and you could have installed Dollywood at Anderson training center.

South Carolina is a program that could wind up really good in the not so distant future. They’ve been investing heavily in their program and have ton of in state talent. I could see them battling for 1st in the East on a yearly basis in a few more years.

A prospective student athlete probably looks at a roster first and a coaching staff second to see if they can get to the NFL, NBA or MLB.

Top Notch facilities are nice to have but they will not swing recruiting battles too much.

They'll need Dabo to exit Clemson before they'll start getting more of a share of instate talent though.

Well this is a simple fix. Given the author's obsession with LED lights, we could easily move up 4 or 5 spots if we just install some in the locker room. Problem solved.
LMAO, I picture you(if I knew what you looked like) in the locker room, putting up those cheap, sticky rolls of LED lights, all over the place, standing back, admiring your work and vainly nodding your head in approval...even though it looks like a 12 year old put them up.😎
GBO!!

Northwestern Wildcats facilities at #8? WOW!!

I’d like to hear more about the $180 Million Neyland Stadium upgrade (funded by boosters) to be completed by EOY 2023 per OP’s attached article. I thought I recalled Fulmer announcing Neyland improvement plans were being delayed and/or revised downward (less expensive). Maybe I dreamed that.
Northwestern’s practice facility is unbelievable.

I have to admit our "ring of lights" in Neyland is outdated or under utilized compared to Bama. I'm OK with them using it to sell advertising but I quit looking at it because that's all it's used for... if they used it for scrolling scores, with a sponsor logo beside it it'd get a lot more views.

According to who? You? I don't think so Mr. Random Poster who's opinion doesn't matter.

Or you could just read the article. South Carolina and Northwestern have better facilities than TN. We are becoming outdated dude. Keep your head in the sand though.

We just had Garner come over from Auburn and the first thing he mentioned was how great the facility was.

It's not an issue.

I love my alma mater, but if any of you have traveled around the SEC, you may have noticed that UT looks a bit like an old prestigious battleship in need of a lot TLC, when compared.

I hope the current administration does what the last several weren't able to accomplish.

I'm not sure it matters with recruiting. Georgia's facilities are ranked 18th but they have been top 5 in recruiting for a few years now. Recruits go to who wins, not who has a pool table in the locker room. My opinion..

Pruitt was actually in the process of getting a McDonald’s and a currency printing press installed in the Anderson Training Center right before he got fired.

Players migrate to good people. The winning programs have top notch people. Tennessee has made bad hires the last 10+ years. Hopefully Heupel will change that trend. I feel better about him than others. He’s been around big time programs (OU), he’s coached in SEC (Mizzou) and he’s been a head coach. None of the previous hires have that record.

It does look great. They have a good coach and are trying hard to be a player in the big 10. Being somewhat successful. Unfortunately they play to usually small crowds at home. Maybe Vandy could follow their lead.
I don’t think Vandy wants to follow their lead. They are just satisfied being a part of the SEC and getting SEC $$.
