We support Jon Crompton

Did Crompton play great? No.
Did he lose the game for us? No.
Is Stephens better? Don't know.

This, I do know: He's our starting QB until Kiffin says he's not.

Support your team.

I don't know how anybody can watch that game and think that we're not headed in the right direction or that we're not really well coached.

He is babied, and it leads to our offense being one dimensional.

btw you have to be saying that sarcastically.

Yea he played really well today in that environment but we need to find a way to pass. We cant always win it with the run half to get crompton to pass more.

Stephens can't be better, 2 different coach staffs both chose Crompton. I support him simply because I don't think we have anywhere else to turn this year. Off the record, Hardesty played like a BEAST today.

Yes, I would agree he is the worst QB in UT history. But seriously, he did better today than I expected. Lane's just gotta work with what he's got. If we had even an average QB, we would have won.

Some of us have a freaking aneurysm when someone says he played well when he was clearly so bad that Kiffin could not call the plays offensively we needed to win.

HE SUCKS

Crompton sucked. A good QB would have made some passes.
A good QB wouldn't have caused Kiffin to call the plays he did.
We would have won the game if we had a QB.
Crompton caused us to lose another game.

JC did what he was coached to do today. He made a bad throw, and a bad read. But all in all he did what he was coached to do. Can't expect much more.

Good game JC, your our QB this year. Build on it bro.

It does not make sense to continue to start Crompton. He will not be here next year. Go ahead and let Stephens get some playing time.I don't want to start next year with a QB that has no experience. The Ohio game would be the perfect time to change. IMO

I'm sorry - did you mean to say Crompton is the limiting factor and keeps our offense out of the end zone? Must have misread the OP.

Crompton just does not have the confidence. I wish the young man in his career away from football well. But as a Football player, he will go down as the worst QB in TN history. Jim Bob Cooter has more cred in my mind then Crompton.

I hope you're sarcastic because it was more than apparent that Crompton was only allowed to play with half the play book... and he still managed to throw 2 INT's...

Crompton is not capable of executing half the playbook! Especially that tricky section containing the forward pass. However, I do completely support Jon if he decides that he should quit playing football. Today.

One dimensional offense. Just like last year, but I still think that our offense is better than last years. We are more organized and disciplined. How many freshmen made plays and looked good this game? This freshmen class is going to be incredible. They came into one of the biggest stages in college football and played very well. The freshmen made few mistakes and looked darn good. You got to love that Montori made one of the biggest plays of the game. Janzen had THE biggest hit of the game. Oku was solid. Bryce had a great game catching the ball and making positive yards.
