We still have a shot at playoffs!

So are Dobbs, Hurd, Kamara and Sutton still first rounders? Of course most of us but you realize that Barnett is the only guy we have that has a shot at being a first round pick. Nobody knows who will be stars in the NFL.

NFL scouts are fickle and play follow the leader.

Once we beat Bama, make the playoffs, and win it all, our guys draft stock will soar.

Uhh no. Our best win is definitely not Georgia. I know you're trying to make us look bad but our playoff resume is actually pretty good so far.

Our best win is over #14 Florida (5-1) and we've also beaten #25 Virginia Tech (5-2). That's 2 ranked teams. We're actually one of the few teams in the country with 2 wins over teams currently ranked in the top 25. Our only losses are to 2 teams currently ranked in the top 10 (#1 Alabama and #9 Texas A&M). And to help our case even more, we played both games with tons of injuries to our key players. We even took #9 Texas A&M to double OT on the road with 7 turnovers and 10+ players our with injury.

Most of the teams you think are locks to get into the playoff before us currently have 0-1 wins over ranked teams (i.e. Washington, Michigan, and Louisville). And some have an ugly loss (i.e. Ohio State).

If we get to discount our losses because of injuries, does the make our victories over FL without their STARTING QB or UGA without CHUBB mean less? If a loss in overtime to TAMU is less of a loss, is a win over APP EFFING STATE in overtime less of a win?

Unfortunately it'll be hard to scout Hurd against future NFL players, because he won't be seeing too many.

Our o-line doesn't have any future NFL players so it'll be a fair fight in the trenches.

Maybe Hurd will finally get to show what he can do with some semblance of run blocking.

We'll just have to agree to disagree because IMO Sutton is our best NFL talent. He can be Darrelle Revis good.

Kamara and Hurd will be pro-bowl players. Kamara has a Marshall Faulk aspect to his game while Hurd is a more explosive Eddie George.

Dobbs is the wildcard. He can be a 6'3" Russell Wilson in the NFL of things to right.

Dobbs will not get drafted. He's lucky he's an engineering genius, because that's where he'll be making his money.

Never said Marquez would be great. Only said he would get drafted high because he had the measureables NFL teams love.

Kelvin is still on the niners (last I checked). He'll get his chance at some point and when he does he'll succeed. He's still better than Derrick Henry.

You said that North would be drafted no later than the 4th round and you were dead wrong. You said Taylor was one of the best backs, possibly the best back in the draft....and again, you were dead wrong. He's not in the same stratosphere as Derrick Henry.

If this list were even close to accurate, there is no way that Tennessee would have been in close games with App State and Ohio. The sheer talent alone would have made up for any motivational or coaching deficiencies.

This. There is no chance that 14 NFL starters are on this roster.

The hell he's not. Barnett does amazing athletic things all the time. But he has you fooled because he doesn't look like an Adonis in his uniform like Garrett.

All the guy does is make plays, literally all over the field. He couldn't do that if he wasn't a great athlete.

The one guy d4h should be talking about as elite, he says he isn't... lol.

Bama has one of the best and deepest rosters in the country, and I can only think of 6 guys who I am confident will be consistent starters in the NFL.

No. I just have an eye for talent.

I'm guessing you thought all those Bama players who ended up as busts in the NFL would be stars. LOL @ Trent Richardson.

You got another batch of NFL busts on your roster again this year (i.e. Jonathan Allen, Cam Robinson, Rueben Foster, etc.).

False. We have 14 future NFL starters in our starting lineup. If 100% healthy, we would easily be a playoff team.

"..."That's what we like to play against," Thigpen said during Monday's Knoxville Quarterback Club meeting at Calhoun's on the River. "The mobile quarterbacks, that guy running the ball creates more issues for you. We love when a quarterback is like a Georgia or South Carolina...But Alabama and Texas A&M, that's what we struggle with."

Not what you want to hear from staff of a potential playoff team this time of year.

We actually struggled with that guy Eason, throwing the ball. Let's see how we deal with eSC this weekend.

Dobbs is definitely not a first rounder. He's an aerospace engineer. Good college player, but definitely doesn't have NFL potential. Other ones do though. Aren't first rounders.

Getting back Sutton and Kirkland will help contain Hurts a lot.

I do know what you mean, but I don't think his implication with that statement was that he was taking the game for granted. In fact, in Coach Thigpen's defense, it is good to see confidence the week of the game. It's also good he acknowledges the team's strengths and weaknesses because it shows he's aware of what the team's likely to face on game day and hopefully has them prepared and ready with an answer for it.

He's a great athlete by college standards. NFL is a different beast.

There are countless guys who are very productive in college and don't translate that to the pros.

Barnett will be a good NFL player. He'll start for a long time like the Panthers Charles Johnson. But he won't be a STAR.

The only guys with star potential on our team are: Dobbs, Hurd, Kamara, Sutton, and Kirkland.

How in the world do you think Dobbs has NFL star potential? I love the man to death, but he needs to make his money designing spaceships and planes and stuff. I don't see much NFL star potential in Hurd either.

I believe Derek Barnett should be on the top of that list.

He's as good as it gets at his position and he's got the kind of internal drive and discipline to make whatever adjustments he may need to make to be a star at the next level too.

Yes, I realize -- did Sutton and Kirkland play in the App St + Ohio games? Containing mobile qb's is not this team's only shortcoming.

Let's see how we do containing eSC's passing, b/c this team is really going to need a ramp-up if expecting to be a 1/4 playoff contender.
