We start out 6-0 then lose to the Crimson Turds?

When that happens, look for an Orange blur to go past the camera near the end of the game. That will be me jumping to my death from the upper deck.

I think I'm safe. Chances of a 6-0 start are about the same as me being named Pope, and I'm not even Catholic.

Compared to last year I think we may feel like world-beaters. This team is capable of 8-9 wins.

I would argue, however, that this year isn't about wins and losses. I just want to see us become competitive, aggressive and play with emotion. We've lost that over the years.

That's about all I'm looking for at this point....improvement. However, I've read a lot of posts on here like this one where people are talking about being 6-0 the first 6 games or having a 10 win season. I guess anything is possible, but it's just not likely. The people with the unrealistic grasp of where we are right now are the same ones who are going to be starting up thread after thread in the middle of season about how bad things are.

I don't see why they can't win 8 games this coming season. That will feel much better than that turd of a season we went through last year.

I'm shooting for 8 but hoping for 9, always crazy optimistic before every kickoff though and am sure it's gonna happen again with Florida this year b/c of the excitement on gameday and how anything can happen in college football but realistically I think we have a better shot beating Bama than Georgia this year - fell the Bulldogs line is much improved and the Bama line is gonna have a drop off with A. Smith.

I think 5-1 is certainly possible if we can beat Auburn and Georgia teams that won't be as good as last year.

Plus we get both of them at home which favors us.

I say we get 9-10 wins.

9-3 boys, as I've said all along. Beat Ga at home, lose to Fl, Al, and probably OM---all on the road. Both Fl and AL, ---and probably Ga have more talent than do we--based on recent recruiting classes. Line depth will be an issue as phil was not able to bring in enough big uns in recent years. EO had OM well stocked----didn't get the chance to coach his best players.

HOWEVER, for the first time----I don't go into the season thinking Tennessee will be outcoached. NEVER felt that before.:shaking2:

You really think 09 UT is as good as Bama was last year, come on. They were better at almost every position.

OLine- adv. Bama and not even close
RB- adv. Bama again not close although you do have some unknown factors
WR- adv. Bama, they have Julio Jones, you have no one who could hold his jock
QB- adv. Bama, Parker Wilson holds virtually every record there, while you have Johnathan Crompton nough said

Dline- adv. Bama, two words Mt. Cody
LB- slight edge to Bama, I like Rolando McClain more than Rico McCoy
DB- push only because you have Eric Berry who may be the best Defensive player in college football, but Bama had both Rashad Johnson and Javier Arenas

They were so deflated after the SEC championship game they couldn't have cared less about the bowl game and remember they went 12-0 in the regular season.

Bammer had a month to get over the loss to FLA. No excuse there IMO. Poor preparation (coaching).

No one is going to care now they went 12-0 since they fell apart at the end and embarrassed the SEC by losing to Utah.
